0. The first line of moderation should not be the instance admin. Each user account should be able to moderate mentions of their ID, or replies to their comments.
1. The top poster of a comment thread should be able to moderate all reply comments under that thread.
2. Instance admins should only delete posts that are clearly designed to offend, hurt, or viciously attack, bully, harass, gaslight, annoy etc. but should never delete a post simply on ideological grounds or heated but honest disagreement or debate. Telling the difference is very simple in almost all cases: tone and mindless repetition being the biggest giveaways of the respondent's intent. If it becomes an unwanted or unproductive argument the top poster should be able to quash replies.
3. Users should be able to click a button to block and entire thread regardless of who posts to it.
These things are not a major problem for me since I'm on a simple instance and I can add users to my personal blacklist via CLI. It would be nice to see this kind of stuff as standard, basic button functions in activitypub and fediverse since not everyone wants to run an instance and use CLI scripts to moderate.

I use music and a ProTools example to illustrate the difference between duration and time. I even invoked the debate between Bergson and Einstein in 1922.
Time doesn't exist. It's merely a useful heuristic that humans use for social structure. Duration is more intrinsic. Physics has created a space-time map and confused it with the underlying terrain.

After a couple of years on the #fediverse, Iβm quite certain of my position when I say that big tech actually killed Social Media!
Itβs #enshittification, of course. But in this case itβs gone for long enough for the new generation to not even know what it stood for.
A whole generation has grown up, thinking that the #algorithm is the point, not the #social. So deep are we in right now!

@Flipboard @molly0xfff Misses the point of improving people / developing people NOT just Tech - we have had similar systems of messaging and mostly #ICQ and forums have been good but not really humans developing humans - just 1-way interaction - like #Mastodon being a great engine but most of us are socially crap as drivers and can't find a way to increase #Trust, measure people on the fly, practise talking to them - so you get 0-participation or organising as any 'social' and just a donation page, tech debugging and nothing else to contribute to all this despite us all working in A MILLION places with our own resources we could do something with instead of complaining about #Trump all day or thinking #Fediverse is totally different.
People themselves are the weak point and NOBODY IS DEVELOPING PEOPLE (HUMANS TO HUMANS). Tech people are developing computers instead hoping for a better future.
Nuts to expect better people just from installing #linux or something and I know a bunch of almost-retarded (excuse me but just to be short I mean over introvert or recluse hobbit even with kids) and that frankly isn't good enough / keeps problems going!

I'd like to audio #chat about doing more of this kind of work between people who can do that kind of offer - because I think the skills and encouragement or a place to go to once a week online... is needed / lacking. So you have social #software without really the #social. Nice for cat pics and #Caturday and even leftist memes but not really doing it together as often - sometimes never. Just a quick #jitsi chat about it doesn't take much (<2mins for example) and can be more anonymous for just the info / knowledge spread.
Friendship to any extent and going to the #gym #together is the Federated what but right now the social software (Mastodon) has near-0 people doing the socialising on a proper consistent level so the organising is not there and expecting people to do it when they are #unskilled and still have a bit of #fear / #FUD which bringing together on their favorite topics helps them make #friends better / eventually #federate better.

*This* more-human part or real #boycott is part of the REAL "protest" (I.E. other protests are real but THEY ARE *JUST PROTEST* as in 'asking' / begging constantly for them to change.
Protest in many senses we know is low change / π― % not going to happen (a lot of protest in history!) so by not moving what power / money (or things similar) out of their control / abuse) this is basically not clever protest

*I do blame* victims AFTER they know this and continue. While all victims should have a chance and need time - some are WAY TOO COMFORTABLE and went into settling for it.
No longer victim here as bourgeois (LOTS of people here very comfortable)... *and they* play their part in I'm a victim by going to the same theater or opera / shops / institutes / city.
And they think all people online are doubtful - might as well did you're own grave that way.
When the crowd pays to go in and boo the actors and want to pay bad people for their goods (and then complain). Just playing into it too much.
So there's a measurable limit even to "victim" I'm sympathetic for (to a limit), but not settling comfortably into and not even in blaming-mode constantly helps (which is a lot of #Fediverse too).
They spend 100's of hours (go check all the hashtags - again it's measurable) - but nearly nothing on forging friends... all the Tech people work on machines, code and then blame #Musk for using it. Short examples like that (more of a long chain but you get the picture).
"It's not our fault we don't like giving time to other humans online or offline and play with PlayStation Linux all day, all our life..." 
#Trump #Musk bla bla bla hashtags and near-0 on building #trust / #friendship / giving #time to random people here between themselves. And poor you now getting a long detailed reasoning you might avoid replying.

About resources:
I think it is more #emotionally yes and not having will-power needs working on to encourage each other (hence having chats with people and not necessarily having to say everything but enough to really push past alone-ism)- time seems plenty for many (you can tell but their profile posts)
It's the #will or constancy in others encouraging / asking for / seeing and accepting others as imperfect (naturally) and not being so doubtful - as that scuppers any chances too.
Wwithout even testing people out people have resigned / accept fascism and even play their part.
Part of the answer we need to do is in testing and solving real communication - no more bashing #trump #ETC.

In a fudged-up way that's what I was looking for towards a better social / sharing to see what we are individually working on in 1 FTP / SSH.
That way one doesn't have to do anything but share a directory and can see a lifetime's work and life style without even a bio... by what they have and sharing...

We're doing too much #tech right now and it's frying our brains / helping tech too much (eventually helping Amazon S3 money / Bezos / Musk etc with their big pipes feeding all the ever-hunger developers not realising... and some intentionally thinking they can "use" companies in this way, #American companies etc).
I know maybe you kinda do things already but if it doesn't eventually reach most on this side (or increment and snowball as it's own a method) then it's almost not that way you want.
Good Tech people are not looping back to people and their own 'stuff' which ultimately separates people. Together we can us selves out from serious / unserious / loving / unloving and still have work in progress together and improving communications.
It's also like being fan of things but never having contact with the band (go to concert and see a dot far away in massive stadium) or getting to meet other fans might not be that time and place.
So we need a time and space.
Years go by and we think we know people or 'see' them... We know nothing, just their toys occasionally. We need try past that and see why and what they do and re-asses 'ah' and make decisions again. It's more real that way and we can help each other away from the doubt and have it measurable since we do see a lot of good work and words.

SOCIAL WITHOUT SOCIALISING?
We have Mastodon but it's almost empty software without promoting people themselves properly (which nobody doesn't properly on a weekly / month basis but could at least as a shout-out). They / we need as a more dedicated way of *social* respect (not just memes and #trump hating). Something building us UP π
Similar to capitalism we just find out from social what we can do, mix and match and build much more on TOP π.
The gap between hashtag hating / fear spreading and just tech creating is huge. We need to balance each other or be left isolated in the middle (even you too it will help once a week in chat get #feedback but also #listen).
Investing time in people helps exponentially (as time goes on) and helps hit great things more often... with #time and #dedication for their stuff they already do and other people's (even if it seems 2, 4, 8 is not that many, those #pair of hands and their existing work or #resources is a huge lot of #potential and multiples). βοΈ
I have ideas around that... and it is measurable / we will see the feedback socially.
