Humility heals a hardened heart.
Jesus said, "Listen to this; a sower went out to sow. And when he sowed, some seeds fell by the side of the road, and the birds came and devoured them up." (Matthew 13:3-4)
My eureka thought for the day, is that to understand someone means to grasp their logic. If I can follow someone's thought process, I can at least see why it's supported, even if I can't adopt that logic for myself right away.
The parable of the sower is the mother of all parables. Jesus shows us a parallel in nature to explain to us why we were created, and what our purpose is.
"When anyone hears the word of the kingdom, and does not understand it, the wicked one comes, and catches away that which was sown in his heart. This is he who received seed by the side of the road." (Matthew 13:19)
"The Sower plants the Word." In Greek, the "Logos" is not just any word. It's the logic of life. The Lord made us alive and He wants us to stay that way.
Jesus said, in quoting Psalm 82, "Does it not say 'you are gods,' to whom the word of God came? And the Scripture cannot be broken."
God shows us that He has already planted truth in us that has the power to transform us into eternal children of God. A good seed planted into good ground grows a beneficial plant; beneficial to the earth, beneficial to the plant itself, and beneficial to the grower. That tiny seed is our God-given conscience.
The word of God cultivates our conscience. It tames our spirit and our tongue the way Johnny Appleseed transformed the American frontier into a field of food. It transforms our hearts in the same way we train a dog to be a loyal member of our family. ([John 7:37-38, Psalm 119:9-16](https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=John%207%3A37-38%2C%20Psalm%20119%3A9-16&version=NKJV))
The parable of the Sower explains things that can go wrong in our thinking, that could hinder us from becoming children of God.
Jesus explains that the Sower is the Son of Man, and the seed is the Word of God. We build the Kingdom of God within us, when we fill ourselves and each other with God's eternal logic.
First, Jesus mentions the seed being scattered by the side of the road. The road represents the hard-hearted way of the world. It's a conscience seared shut. ([Matthew 7:13-14, Proverbs 14:12](https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Matthew%207%3A13-14%2C%20Proverbs%2014%3A12&version=NKJV))
If we're indoctrinated against our conscience by the world, our hearts will be hardened against God's attempts to teach us greater love. The Old Testament often refers to people as hard-hearted. That's what happens to us when we accept the world's way of thinking. We work to be a bigger fish, or carry a bigger hammer, or just toughen up to make it through this life. Everything is a competition. ([Exodus 7:14, Deuteronomy 15:7-8, Matthew 19:8-9, Mark 3:1-5](https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Exodus%207%3A14%2C%20Deuteronomy%2015%3A7-8%2C%20Matthew%2019%3A8-9%2C%20Mark%203%3A1-5&version=NKJV))
God's promises are for the meek. Isaiah 51:12-23 says, "I am going to put the cup of My fury in the hand of them that afflict you, those who said, 'Lay down here so we can walk over you,' and you laid yourself in the ground as the street for them to walk over."
If you have vengeance in your heart today, you're thinking, "what else can I do in this dog-eat-dog world besides try to be a bigger dog? Wait on the Lord, and let Him prove that He's good to His word. ([Psalm 34:8, 1 Peter 4:19](https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Psalm%2034%3A8%2C%201%20Peter%204%3A19&version=NKJV))
More than once, I've cried desperately to God and asked "why?" in the face of suffering. He's been faithful to see me through those times. But has it ever helped to shake my fist at the sky and question if God will really deliver? Not really. The people of Israel in the wilderness continually complained, "Is the Lord with us or not?" ([Exodus 17:7, Psalm 95:7-11, Matthew 4:7](https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Exodus%2017%3A7%2C%20Psalm%2095%3A7-11%2C%20Matthew%204%3A7&version=NKJV))
God isn't offended with our emotions when things aren't right. Still, accusing Him of doing nothing, when things don't go our way is offensive to Him. When we find ourselves in a trial, or a spiritual waiting room, our obedience is necessary to reap the benefits of good behavior. The Lord deserves our love, trust, and loyalty.
Instead of trying to get our own way in our timing, what if we put our situation in God's hands? I encourage you to respond to the struggles of life the way the Bible says to, and watch what happens. God wants to show you His love for you, and soften your heart. ([Deuteronomy 32:35, Luke 18:1-8](https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Deuteronomy%2032%3A35%2C%20Luke%2018%3A1-8&version=NKJV))
Word to the wise; this is not an experiment for the impatient. Do you want to see God's best for your life? Acting on God's word is a faith-building exercise for those who will choose to patiently, thankfully receive what God has promised.
(James 1:21)
"Receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your souls."
(Galatians 6:9)
"And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart."
(Luke 21:19)
"By your patience possess your souls."
Our Father in heaven,
Thank You for Your eternal truths that make us one with You. Awaken our hearts to seek You earnestly. Show us the ancient paths Your prophets of old took to be near You. Guide us into Your presence and teach us how to love as you love, and forgive as we've been forgiven. Make us worthy of Your Son, so we will not be ashamed at His return. In Jesus' name, Amen.

While everyone is distracted by the scripted ICE theater the counter-reformation unification of Roman Church and state proceeds stealthily. Rome's agents are slowly converting America to the Imperial Roman religion.
From his bully pulpit the President is proclaiming Imperial Roman religion about the Roman goddess Mary, formerly known as Minerva, also sometimes known as Venus, and formerly known as Isis in Egypt and Semiramis in Babylon.
Presidential Message on the Feast of the Immaculate Conception
"In her honor, and on a day so special to our Catholic citizens, we remember the sacred words that have brought aid, comfort, and support to generations of American believers in times of need: Hail, Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen."
This is deadly Imperial Roman dogma being proclaimed from the Presidential bully pulpit.
The Roman "Mary" is Isis of the Egyptian trinity. The Roman "Mary" is NOT the Miriam who gave birth to Jesus of Nazareth. The Roman "Mary" is also known as Astarte, Easter, and in Babylon as Semiramis. The Roman Church pasted a "Mary" nametag on its pagan idol, then by the sword of Constantine and Justinian forced all Christians to worship this idol.
Anyone who can actually read the Bible can see that the 'immaculate conception' of a 'sinless mother of god' is nowhere taught in the Bible. But it was taught in Babylon, Greece, Egypt, and Rome. The trinity is a pagan idol having nothing to do with the God of the Bible. Trinity worship is the chiefest of things the true God of Abraham despises. The trinity is a hoodwink to trick Christians into worshiping the old serpent and insulting the divine Creator.
The Bible is clear on who God is:
"Hear O Israel, the Lord our God is one [echad:singular] Lord alone!"
This is the first great commandment of the Law of Moses. Upon this one commandment hang all the Law and the Prophets.
Then in the Decalogue given at Sinai a similar command is given:
"Thou shalt have no other gods before me."
In the Hebrew of this phrase, the word BEFORE is means REPRESENTING. Thou shalt have no other gods REPRESENTING me. Notice he says GODS in the plural, as Israel just came out of Egypt where there was a trinity of gods.
The next commandment is a further condemnation of the trinity:
"Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth:"
In the religion of the trinity, the father reigns over heaven, the mother/son/daughter/hermaphrodite reigns over the earth, and sometimes the third person of the trinity reigns over the waters. We see this with the Sumerian Anu, Enlil, and Ea, who are copied by the Romans in varying forms, for example as Jupiter, Juno, and Minerva. In this one command the God of Moses is rejecting this form ot trinitarian worship, saying he alone is God, and he is jealous against all idolatry of this trinity demon.
Why did the first commandment need to be about God being one or singular?
Because Israel just came out of Egypt where the god of Egypt was a trinity. So God founded the entire law of Moses on a complete rejection of the trinity. The first commandment that God gave to Israel was to HEAR that he is SINGULAR.
Jesus Christ also rejects the Catholic Trinity:
" And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent."
Out of Jesus own mouth he says that only the Father is God. More over, he says that the Father is the "ONLY TRUE GOD" showing that Jesus knew there was a false god--the trinity of the Grecians and Romans that came from Egypt that came from Babylon.
The Christian religion is an organized insurrection against Jesus Christ while claiming to represent him. Jesus warned us that many would come in his name, and that they are all liars:
"All that ever came before [representing] me are thieves and robbers: but the sheep did not hear them. ..... But he that is an hireling, and not the shepherd, whose own the sheep are not, seeth the wolf coming, and leaveth the sheep, and fleeth: and the wolf catcheth them, and scattereth the sheep. The hireling fleeth, because he is an hireling, and careth not for the sheep."
We have 30 thousand sects full of hirelings who teach you to worship their false trinity idol. Christ's sheep reject this idol and follow the true shepherd, who teaches that the Father alone is God. Jehovah, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, is the only divine being that has ever existed. There is no other. There is no 'god the son' or 'god the holy spirit'. There is only and ever GOD THE FATHER in heaven.
Only Jehovah is God. Jehovah does not share his glory. He shares his life. He shares his wisdom. He shares his titles. He shares his power. He shares his authority. He shares his property which he created. But he does not share his GLORY, his right to be known as the only singular God and Creator. And he especially does not share his glory with idols such as the Roman trinity.
Everyone worshiping the trinity is an idolator, just as ancient Israel committed idolatry with the trinity of Babylon and Egypt.
The Demonic Trinity of Rome was the Capitoline Triad:
The Capitoline Triad was a group of three deities who were worshipped in ancient Roman religion in an elaborate temple on Rome 's Capitoline Hill (Latin Capitolium). It comprised Jupiter, Juno and Minerva. The triad held a central place in the public religion of Rome. [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Capitoline_Triad]
The Capitoline Triad Temple is related to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Church_of_the_Holy_Sepulchre#Connection_to_Roman_temple]
Babylonians worshiped a trinity:
"The ancient Babylonians recognised the doctrine of a trinity, or three persons in one god--as appears from a composite god with three heads forming part of their mythology, and the use of the equilateral triangle, also, as an emblem of such trinity in unity ..." (Thomas Dennis Rock, The Mystical Woman and the Cities of the Nations, pages 22-23). [https://archive.org/details/mysticalwomanan00rockgoog]
Moses, the Prophets, the Apostles, and Jesus Christ of Nazareth rejected the trinity idol of the nations. All of these men gave glory to singular god whom they called, Father. So ask yourself why Christian preachers are teaching you to worship a trinity when the God of Abraham and Moses declares himself to be SINGULAR.
The answer is simple: The Christian religion is a centuries-long insurrection against the kingdom of God, masquerading itself as the kingdom of God. And this is what Genesis tells us about the kingdom of Nimrod.
The Father created Jesus Christ as the only valid image of deity that men can bow to. Humanity is always bowing to idols of their own making, both physical and mental idols. The Father in Heaven HATES this. He met mankind halfway since mankind is incapable of worshiping what he cannot see. So the Father made an image of himself in the man Jesus Christ, and commands us to bow to that man as God's face or representative. This in no way makes God a trinity nor does it make Jesus a person in a trinity. It makes Jesus a man, like any other man, who was chosen and formed to be the image of God. God solved the idolatry problem, yet to this day the Christian religion persists in denying God's mode of worship and substitutes their idolatry in place of what God commands.
Jesus is the Image of God. Jesus is the Son of God. Yet Jesus is neither God nor God the Son. That is a clever trick of Rome to fool people into worshiping their ancient trinity deity.

To 'see the face' of an authority figure or ruler is a turn of phrase, or idiom. It is not necessarily literal. In the ancient near east, Orient, and Mesopotamia, 'the face' of a ruler meant his representative or authorized agent. If you see the king's ambassador, you are seeing the king's 'face'. Jesus even said,
"He that hath seen me hath seen the Father."
Jesus was not claiming to be the Father. He was claiming to be his 'face' or representative.
'Jacob' means 'supplanter'. He supplanted Esau in the birthright of the older brother, in the same way that Christ and the Apostles supplanted Judea with the new body of Christ. Paul the Apostle explains this:
"For it is written, that Abraham had two sons, the one by a bondmaid, the other by a freewoman. But he who was of the bondwoman was born after the flesh; but he of the freewoman was by promise. Which things are an allegory: for these are the two covenants; the one from the mount Sinai, which gendereth to bondage, which is Agar. For this Agar is mount Sinai in Arabia, and answereth to Jerusalem which now is, and is in bondage with her children. But Jerusalem which is above is free, which is the mother of us all."
The story of Jacob versus Esau and Isaac and Ishmael are prophecy of the struggle between fleshly Israel and Christ, who supplants the kingdom of Judea with the new body of Christ, the people of the new covenant. Thus Paul said:
"Now we, brethren, as Isaac was, are the children of promise. But as then he that was born after the flesh persecuted him that was born after the Spirit, even so it is now. [note: The Jews who persecuted the Nazarenes are Ishmael.] Nevertheless what saith the scripture? Cast out the bondwoman and her son: for the son of the bondwoman shall not be heir with the son of the freewoman. So then, brethren, we are not children of the bondwoman, but of the free."
Judea was cast out and supplanted by the new covenant believers. This is Jacob, or Israel, taking Esau's birthright, as prophesied in Genesis. The New Covenant people supplanted the Old Covenant people. This is Jacob supplanting Esau and becoming Israel. Paul directly identifies the ancient Judeans as the Hagar or Ishmael of the Old Testament, contiguous to the Esau of Genesis:
"For this Agar is mount Sinai in Arabia, and answereth to Jerusalem which now is, and is in bondage with her children."
Thus the ancient Jews were not Israel:
"Not as though the word of God hath taken none effect. For they are not all Israel, which are of Israel: Neither, because they are the seed of Abraham, are they all children: but, In Isaac shall thy seed be called. That is, They which are the children of the flesh, these are not the children of God: but the children of the promise are counted for the seed."
In this same vein Paul elaborates that the Jews of his day are actually Esau rather than Jacob:
"It was said unto her, The elder shall serve the younger. As it is written, Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated."
The flesh is Esau. The spirit is Israel. The spiritual are counted for the seed, while the flesh is counted for the elder who is rejected and supplanted by the younger Jacob / supplanter.
'Israel' means he that rules with God or as God, and means that Israel is God's new 'face'.
Jesus is the head of Israel. The believers are the body of Christ or Israel.
Anyone who sees a true Nazarene minister who knows and speaks the truth of Christ's gospel without lies or hypocrisy, is 'seeing the face of Christ.'
"Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life."
"For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous."
"Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound:"The Father gave the Law of Moses to snare everyone in sin, so everyone would be covered by the final sacrifice for sin. Without the Law making the world cognizant of sin, the sacrifice could not cover them. With the Law causing abundance of sin and making iniquity abound, then all are covered by the Lamb.
God is orders of magnitude beyond genius. But sadly Christians don't seem to think God can save on account of man's "omnipotent" free will thwarting God's plan.
The problem with the Christian religion is that their religious leaders think God needs their help to 'spread the gospel' and 'save souls'. In truth, God has been spreading the gospel in spite of the Christian religion perverting it for sixteen plus centuries.

Good morning! The #Gospel for 8 October 2025 is Matthew 9:9-17. Since I am following the #green #MorningPrayer in A Disciple’s Prayer Book #DPB I am also using the #FirstNations version of the #NewTestament What I’ve discovered is that this version, combined with my #SBLStudyBible (an #NRSVUE version), are expanding my view of the lessons & their application to my daily life.
What stands out today is the difference a word makes. The #Indigenous NT refers to “outcasts” rather than the “sinners” of other versions. Maybe it’s because I just finished the sections on Hinduism in world religions, but I find the word choice telling. Outcast implies people shunned or ignored by society, that is a societal choice. Sinners, otoh, implies individuals who are separated from God by choice & their own actions. Additionally, the First Nations version refers to the Pharisees as “the Separated Ones”. My take-away is that Faith calls us to return/restore community rather than divide us.
The Virtue of Laziness -- a strange phrase, but gets to the good and the bad of wrestling with God's Word. How about joining me in a moment for tonight's livestream and I'll explain... https://youtube.com/live/uvYGZiX_MDI

The #Gospel reading for 26 September 2025 is Matthew 6:7-15. These are the verses in which #Jesus gives us the #LordsPrayer (A similar prayer is given in Luke 11:2-4 Even the #Bible has both traditional & contemporary versions!)
The Lord’s Prayer is familiar to most Christians. So familiar that we don’t always think about the words or pray it as intentionally as we should. Lately, I’ve been praying a mashup of both versions, just to keep me focused on what I am doing. I use sin (that which separates us from God) rather than trespass (ethical transgressions) and time of trial (persecution) rather than temptation. Although these are not big changes, they are just enough to throw the cadence of the prayer off when said in community, so I tend to whisper them under my breath so as not to disturb others. As yesterday’s gospel taught, I’m not doing it for show but because I want to be more mindful of how I’m praying. #DPB #Green How do you say the Lord’s Prayer & why do you say it that way?
These are wise words from Gavin Ortland.
