@Jerry Thanks! I was hoping the recent #news regarding #meta in the #court cases would maybe bring a few new #friends to #Mastodon, and I have openly advocated for the #fediverse and even shared #links and #articles that I have found here. Does anyone have any further #advice about discussing #decentralized #socialmedia with people? I think most are reluctant to abandon the convenience that Meta and #X provide. I know a couple of #women who have tried #Substack but they seem intimidated by the Fediverse. It's not that scary once you cross the threshold! I keep recommending hear-me.social as a good place to start!

The whole software ecosystem is built to be #decentralized, with multiple clients, repos and mirrors. This means we don't have visibility into how users chose to connect to our servers, be it directly, via a proxy, via Tor or some VPN.
