                statnews.com/2026/05/27/scienc

So let me say it as clearly as I can: Without basic scientific research, supported by the kind of farsighted public investment that allows large-scale, undirected, curiosity-driven inquiry, the scientific pipeline will run dry.

In daily life, people may not feel the effects right away, or even in 10 years. But we will feel it. And when someone we love needs therapies that could have emerged but didn't or when other countries now investing in science can launch new science-based industries or run their societies on vast resources of fusion energy or reap the benefits of quantum computing power or advanced medical breakthroughs, America will wish it sustained its leadership in scientific research here and now.

If you build PH4NTXM, you will notice that the browser missing some "usability" controls, that's actually the trade-off we've done for maximum privacy.

Since we swapped Brave with Firefox-ESR the anti-fingerprinting gain was massive, since it let us literally "touch" its engine.

I'll see and weigh if we can remove something to gain some more usability, and user experience, but won't sacrifice security and privacy for it.

Hello guys, hope this day will find you positive and curious!

I pushed some more documentation about the system components and how they are working, it's a bit more detailed so you can understand, audit, debug, contribute.

Will refine the docs even more as the time passes by, next days will be focused there!

This week I was fixing the privacy problems with Brave and Chromium engine which caused us obstacles in terms of anti-fingerprinting.

Had to do a lot of work to ensure Firefox-ESR which I chose as a replacement will do the job and cover our expectations, thankfully it worked out!

Everything works like a charm, if you thought of downloading PH4NTXM now's the time, please go, give it a check and let's find what's good, what's missing and we will refine it together!

                                              Thank you for being here!

Some old news, but always relevant, so we don't forget our OpSec:

I hope y'all have seen the Urban VPN "scandal" by now.

If you haven't caught up, it wasn't just a VPN, it was effectively a wiretap.

Their browser extension was found intercepting AI chats (ChatGPT, Claude, etc.) by overriding the fetch() function.

They weren't just logging IPs, they were stealing the actual content of your prompts to sell to data brokers. But the real lesson here isn't just "don't use Urban VPN."

It’s about OpSec 101: Never trust a centralized entity.
If you care about security, the rule is simple: Don't trust, verify.

The moment you hand your traffic to a centralized company, especially a "free" one, you’ve created a single point of failure.

A VPN is just someone else's computer. If you don't own the infrastructure, you don't own your privacy.

Stop looking for "trustworthy" companies and start building a "zero trust" mindset.

The only way to ensure you aren't the product is to use a system where no one has the power to sell you out. Don't trust. Verify. Decentralize.

6+ months straight, day and night, countless builds, trial and error with a lot of work and research. Built something that isn’t just a project — it’s an ecosystem.

It’s not “finished.” It never will be. That’s the point.

                                                                                        This isn’t ours anymore.

In an era of constant surveillance, we need tools that give power back —
systems that reinforce our right to privacy, not take it away.
