Good morning everyone 🌞 Early parrot duty for me today and Ziggy is currently preening my neck while grumbling away happily to herself. Oh wait, now she has gone inside my cardigan so we're apparently playing "Where's Ziggy?" for a bit 😁 I am so envious of her energy first thing in the morning when I am dragging myself around like someone with a heavy suitcase in tow. She may have a dodgy ticker, but she doesn't let that slow her down that's for sure.

She's now wandering around the couch throwing toys to the floor and making laughing sounds, obviously very amused that the lady dragging a heavy suitcase now has to go and pick them all up again 🙂 I adore this little bird, I really do ❤️

INTERMISSION

She's now happily scoffing breakfast and I can finally relax with a large mug of coffee and some Stardew Valley. Plans for today are some Parrot Kitchen, then to do some house things I have been putting off for ages, and maybe some more gaming thereafter.

Good morning everyone 🌞 Another busy work week done and I am up early and have just finished sorting the parrots out for the morning. Ziggy is cuddled up in my hand alternatively grumbling and making laughing sounds as something amuses her - maybe the ghosts are being comical today 😊

There is some serious crunching coming from Toby's cage. His normal big Tops pellets ran out and I couldn't find them anywhere in stock, so he's on the small bird version for now, which seems to be a lot crunchier. He's apparently enjoying them if the noise is anything to go by though. 😁

The trouble with parrot pellets and especially Tops, which is the only non fortified brand I know of, is that the majority come from the USA, so if there are any supply chain issues they are constantly out of stock or you maybe can find them on eBay at three times the normal price. Toby and Ziggy can be fed on fresh food only if required, but Jadie won't eat anything but pellets and a little fruit and it has to be a specific brand or she's not interested. I have spent a small fortune making sure she always has her pellets!

Right, Madame is demanding to "Come! Come!" so I had better get her sorted. Plans for today are still to be decided as I am a Lady of Leisure for once. I may end up gaming 🙂

Good morning everyone ☀️ And a lovely one it is too as I don't have to work today 🙌 Instead I have been playing with Ziggy, who has doing a bit of tidying up as you can see in the wee video attached. Yesterday evening we were having a sword fight with her huge plastic sword - she won 😄

Plans for today are a lot of prep to leave Grant set for the weekend as I will be going up to visit my sisters in the Highlands tomorrow for a couple of days. I have Parrot Kitchen , sorting out dry food, making sure all the disinfectant bottles are filled, checking the medication for Ziggy and writing reams of instructions to do. It's like a military operation just going away for a couple of days! Oh, and I need to pack as well 😂

Don't forget to get your entries in for the crochet toy competition. At the rate this month is going it will be August before we know it!

Good morning everyone 🌄 I'm up early with the parrots today and it's a lot cooler this morning thank goodness! Ziggy is currently giving me a thorough preen after attacking my ears just a moment ago because I dared to talk to Jadie 🤷🏻‍♀️

Speaking of Jadie, we are off to Specsavers first thing, because when Grant was trying to get Jadie off the top of her cage last night he put his face too close, she lunged at him and bit him in the eye! 😱

Typical Grant, he refused to go to A & E, but I managed to persuade him to go to the chemist just before closing (why do these things always happen when places are closed or closing?) who directed him to Specsavers. He managed to phone them and they got him in for an early appointment. We'll see what they say. He says he can see fine, but his eyeball is all bloody.

Parrots and hormones. A lethal combination at this time of year 🥴

We did have a co-op BG3 day planned, but whether we do that will depend on what happens this morning.
