These old pinto beans, almost 5 years past their "best by" date, surprised me. They taste great!

I cooked them in a pressure cooker out on the wood stove, using mostly trash as the cooking fuel.... free!

Texture and flavor of the beans are ideal. There is no hint of them being old.

Major advantages of the dry bean, besides the healthy nutrients: it's low-tech. No electricity needed to store them. They were sitting in a bag all these years at room temp!

This should not be called a real drink, in my opinion. Look at the ingredients. Do you actually know what all those chemicals are? And do they belong in your gut?

Wheat gluten is something my wife avoids, because it may cause her gastrointestinal upset. How could cats be any better at digesting it?
