The Xbox community clubs have been officially shut down. Leave it to #Microslop to remove features while simultaneously increasing prices across the board.

Hopefully some members of the Vintage Retro Games club on #Xbox find their way here to Retro Gaiden, or at least somewhere on the Fediverse.

All this talk of #microslop reminds me of a friend who started a bespoke software business back in the 90s. In those days, business registrations were done by filling in paper forms so you had to choose five names for your business. What you actually got would be the first one that wasn't already taken.

He could only come up with four good ones, so for number 5 he just put the opposite of Microsoft.

And that is how my brother got his first job at MegaHard Computer Software.

This is yet another lame move by Microslop.

They half-assed the Xbox communities feature and never improved it. And now they’re pulling the rug out from those who actually did use it, all while charging more money than ever for their hardware & services.
