SteamDB's Steam Calculator feature is insane. My account, with LOWEST prices, is worth $2770 based on the games alone. With my inventory added in, at today's prices, it's worth over $12,000.

In addition to valuation, it gives you access to all sorts of other geeky statistics and facts about your account that you may not even know. Fun to use, especially if you enjoy making use of Steam's countless features!

I'm absolutely addicted to Brotato and collecting achievements, my progress so far. There are a lot of achievements to be had too.

I've also been playing the games in the Atari Recharged bundle. Mostly Yars Recharged, Centipede Recharged and Breakout Recharged. The bundle is really expensive normally, but it's 75% off and at $15 it's totally worth it.

The games are all modern reinterpretations of the classics. Yars Recharged is the one that I've played for the longest time (split between the GOG and Steam versions), but recently I have really liked playing Centipede Recharged.

I'm not saying Early Access (EA) is abused by indie developers but I will say it creates a financial situation that pushes indie devs to bad outcomes.

It rarely provides the funds to complete the game, so after EA launch there is less incentive to finish the game. Instead it incentivises publishing a big roadmap and then eking out a v1.0 bare minimum release to close off the project.

It's like if everyone is breaking the law then that law is probably bad, not the people.

Glue on the back and add the dice an pieces (meeples) and it's ready to play.

                                                        My top three for 2025:

                                                        * Genshin Impact, probably ~300+ hours this year. I literally chose a specific new phone because I could find a Genshin themed case on Aliexpress. But not a Qiqi one like my old Nokia :blobcatSad:

                                                        * Where Winds Meet. Obviously I have a taste for high-production-values Chinese gacha. I like the art style, but it's less of a lifestyle/merch fixation so far. (Yi Dao plushie when?)

                                                        * Vampire's Dawn 3. Love Asgar, the unrepentant monster. 🧛 :blobcatheart:

Speaking of DRM, I sometimes bought games on Real Arcade too... Obviously, all those licenses are lost now as well. Real Arcade, if I remember correctly, was the first service to offer a PC version of SEGA's Sonic The Hedgehog. :0)
