soc.octade.net is a Fediverse instance that uses the ActivityPub protocol. In other words, users at this host can communicate with people that use software like Mastodon, Pleroma, Friendica, etc. all around the world.

                Saturday morning project: A from scratch fresh install of 1993's MS-DOS CD-ROM version of Gabriel Knight: Sins of the Fathers, playable with DOSBox-core in the RetroArch emulator. Applied the official patch GKCDPAT.ZIP and the GK1CD_NRS.ZIP bugfix released by NewRisingSun. Sure, one could install this from GOG or Steam, but seriously, where's the fun in that? This is one of the best Sierra On-Line games ever made, full stop.
