Ok, I found the coolest thing ever.

===Cyberpunk Bluegrass Music===

@coreysnipes suggested I look into Bluegrass in addition to my current studies of Irish Trad music as I learn how to play the Irish whistle. That makes sense as a lot of Bluegrass stems from old Irish music.

In my search for Bluegrass music with Irish whistles, I stumbled across Justin Myles Holmes' "Barlow's Jig".

And get this... after listening to an Irish whistle, a banjo, a fiddle, and other instruments playing a bluegrass jig...

...you hear a voiceover reading of "A Declaration of the Independence of Cyberspace (1996)" written by none other than John Perry Barlow, founding member of the @eff

John Perry Barlow. Barlow's Jig.

My worlds have collided.

Heck, I'd argue that Folk Music + Calls for Digital Independence = Solarpunk !!!

Give it a listen here (the voiceover starts at 2:45 but listen to the leadup as well):

        Hmm, never heard these verses from Pete Seeger before.

        This land is your land, but it once was my land,
        Until we sold you Manhattan Island.
        You pushed our Nations to the reservations;
        This land was stole by you from me.

        Maybe you've been working as hard as you're able,
        But you've just got crumbs from the rich man's table,
        And maybe you're thinking, was it truth or fable,
        That this land was made for you and me.

        Woodland and grassland and river shoreline,
        To everything living, even little microbes,
        Fin, fur, and feather, we're all here together,
        This land was made for you and me.

          For an even deeper dive into Portuguese music, check out this about the genre that I penned year ago. It is sometimes said that in people survive on the “three F’s” - Fish, Fado and Fatima. That’s how much of an iconic cultural icon this uniquely Portuguese is in the country.

              In what has been very hush hush, there is a new album, believe it or not. The Making of Five Leaves Left.

              It has different takes of the songs, in fact, very different, completely different songs, completely different Nick Drake. It is worth getting. I was very surprised these takes were kept.
