Today I'm re-evaluating all my weather-related words and making changes because I just don't like most of them.
@lttrspc @0xabad1dea @vasilis We should probably add #conlang.
Is it a #constructed systematic #language with its own script.
Is it a #cipher using a know language.
Or is it #asemic writing, without a real system or meaning?
Do we actually know that about the Codex Seraphinianus?

prompt: matter
I'm not sure which meaning of "matter" this is meant to be, but we just had "substances" a couple days ago, so I'll use another meaning.

I didn't have any words in this category so I made three. Here are two of them:
ocigaliñgudo /o.'ʃi.ga.liŋ.ˌgu.do/ (n) radio
Informally called 'ogudo', especially when referring to just the receiver.
Component roots: ciga ('cord, line, wire'), liñ ('without, lacking'), gu ('sound'), do ('machine')
---------
ofombwido /o.fom.'bwi.do/ (n) printing press
Component roots: fom ('press, push (on)'), bwi ('mark, sign; stain'), do ('machine')
Related words: fombwiye /fom.'bwi.ye/ ('stamp, print')

Simultaneously conflicting emotions.
Component roots: m (noun prefix for uncountable nouns including emotions), hē ('opposite; across'), cin ('heart; emotion')
I already had words for most of the basic emotions so I decided to cover this case.

Doing a pair of words this time since they are so closely related:
ocamfasi /o.ʃam.'fa.si/ (n) coat, overcoat
odumfasi /o.dum.'fa.si/ (n) underwear, undergarment
Components: cam ('over, above'), dum ('under, below') fas- ('clothing')

otumnuwegi /o.tum.nu.'we.gi/ (n) drill; augur
Related words: tumnuwe (v) drill (a hole)
Components: tum ('hole'), nuwe ('turn, spin'), -gi (verb suffix for agent or instrument that performs the action)
The noun is formed by adding the noun class prefix 'o-' (things, esp. man-made) and suffix -gi to the verb nuwe (drill).

prompt: nature
inojajā /i.no.ʤa.'ʤaː/ (n) wetland
Component roots: i (noun class for nature and naturally occurring things), no ('land, ground'), ja ('having; characterized by'), jā ('water'). jajā means 'wet'.
This one was a little tricky. Landform words are often part of place names, so I already had lots of them, but hadn't done any kind of wetland(s) yet. I originally meant to do 'swamp', but it's just one type of wetland, along with others like marsh and bog. So rather than get specific I just went with the more generic term for now.

prompt: plants
wesuñi /we.'suŋ.i/ (n) wild rice
'wesuñi' refers generally to both the plant and the edible grain.
'we' is the noun class prefix for food crops and prepared food. With the noun class prefix i → 'isuñi' means the whole plant.
To specifically mean the grain, you would say wesuñgani ('gani' means 'grain').
