The Spy Who Dumped Me is a movie that is confused what it wants to be. It's hard to laugh in the comedy scenes when they are followed by gruesome scenes like the one where a thumb is being severed with a pocket knife.
Kate McKinnon was, like a character says to her character, a bit much. She's okay in small doses, but a whole movie of her is painfully annoying.
The action in the film is pretty good at times and rather bland at other times.
Rated 4 out of 10.

He could fly any civilian plane on the planet, became the world's most revered non-Asian Chinese Chef & had no formal singing or dance training.

"Set against the backdrop of modern #dating through the lens of the #Jewish community, the #film follows a young Jewish man’s search for love, identity, and connection during the holiday season at a time when finding the right person has never felt more complicated.
The #romanticcomedy is the feature #directorial debut of #EvanScolnick, who previously took credits on short film Background Action, about a production assistant wrangling extras for a superhero movie and taking inspiration from a stint at Marvel Studios where he worked on films such as Hawkeye.
“I never imagined my debut feature would be a #romantic #comedy..."
Work is work buddy.

In Living Color really was the best comedy skit show. I really hate that we can't have this sort of comedy anymore
Some people say Beavis and Butthead hasn't been good since the first run in the 90s but I beg to differ when clips like this exist
"Shut up, butt-munch. This guy's balls are all messed up. If this wasn't a hospital, I'd make you take a bow."

Producer Phil Lord says the team actually developed a 23 Jump Street, but the project never happened.
"We're calling this 24, out of respect for the dead."
It's exactly the kind of self-aware humor fans have come to expect from the franchise.
Do you think 24 Jump Street can live up to the first two films?
Josie and me are off on a tour - we’ve been working closely together for 20 years and I think we were quite pioneering when it came to podcasts - this is not a podcast but two good friends having a great time on stage - we are at The Tabernacle in London on 18th November

"#TheCatskills may no longer be lined with sprawling resort hotels and nightly floor shows, but for one summer weekend each year, #Ellenville becomes the closest thing to a time machine.
The third annual #BorschtBeltFest returns July 24-26, transforming the village into a celebration of the #comedy, #cuisine, #music, and cultural traditions that once made the #Catskills one of the most influential vacation destinations in #America. Organized by the Catskills #BorschtBelt #Museum, the three-day festival combines stand-up comedy, historical panels, #culinary events, live music, archival exhibitions, and family-friendly activities spread throughout."

One of my firmly held religious beliefs is that since the 20th century, Great Britain has been punching above its weight in comedy.
That's because the people's daily life is so dreadful, and their governments have done such awful things, and still, some of them can make others laugh.
By that criteria, though, the Scots clearly must be world champions.

"It was a #Jewish golden age hiding in plain sight on a turntable. But the #albums are only half the story. What matters, and what has gone missing, is the room.
A #comedy #album was not designed to be listened to alone. It was designed to be dropped onto a spindle in a living room full of people who had just finished a bowl of onion-soup-mix dip or the last of the #Manischewitz wine. Someone would say, “Wait, wait, you have to hear this one.” The needle would come down. And for the length of a 20-minute-or-so side, the room would become a single organism, breathing in on the setup and out on the #laugh.
This was a ritual with rules, even if no one wrote them down. You did not talk over the bit. You did not explain the #joke to the person who didn’t get it; you’d let them get it on the second listen, or the third, because everyone knew these #records were going to be played again."
I have a theory that the reason TV comedies without a laughter track tend to be less funny is the decision to omit the laughter track.
There tends to be a different reveal moment in more modern style comedies. There tends to be a more subtle reveal, and dialogue less snappy. Jokes are sluggish and they creep up on the viewer, giving at best an "Aheh" moment.
Comedies with the laughter track tend to have more of a 'punchline' feel about them, where reveal cuts and delivery are faster.
It's that kind of quick-quip, punchline-and-laugh nature of the laughter-track comedy that *can* make them funnier and more enjoyable.
It's just a theory I have.
