PAME condemns the new vile attempt to intimidate the labour movement through the prosecution of the president of the ENEDEP Dockworkers Union and the Piraeus Labour Center for the mobilization that blocked a container loaded with bullets from being shipped. Those bullets were bound for Israel for the massacre of children and civilians in Gaza and the West Bank. A year after the powerful mobilization of the dockworkers of Piraeus, when the workers stood tall and blocked the loading of containers with military supplies and millions of bullets for the murderous state of Israel, the mechanisms of the so-called “rule of law” are being deployed to punish solidarity and send a message of submission. Their “justice” is fully aligned with the goals of the war economy and the militarized budgets, which translate into intensified repression, restriction of democratic freedoms, and the criminalization of trade union action and every voice that resists imperialist wars and Greece’s involvement in them. This prosecution comes immediately after the return of the ENEDEP president from a solidarity mission to the West Bank, where he carried the message from the workers of Piraeus and the trade unions of Greece to the Palestinian people, who suffer under occupation, famine, hunger, and the expansion of settlements. It is a direct attack on the right of workers to struggle and to express their internationalist solidarity against the genocide committed by the murderous state of Israel. The New Democracy government, a partner and accomplice of the murderous state in the slaughter of the Palestinian people, supports in every possible way the barbarity of Israel. It does not even dare to utter the word genocide, while it fully supports the imperialist plans of the USA, NATO, and the EU in the region by providing military bases, participating in military exercises, and signing cooperation agreements. If the Greek government and its so-called “justice” are so eager to drag people into court, they should start with their friend Netanyahu, who is internationally wanted for war crimes. They should leave alone the workers and trade unionists who stand by the peoples, on the right side of history, who stop the bullets bound for the murder of children. The attempt to silence and terrorize the workers will fail! PAME stands firmly by the side of the ENEDEP Union, the Piraeus Labour Center, and its president, and calls on all trade unions, Federations, and Labour Centers in Greece, as well as unions around the world, to express their solidarity and demand: The immediate termination of all prosecutions against the president of ENEDEP and the Piraeus Labour Center. That the case be dropped unconditionally and permanently. The abolition of the reactionary legal framework that criminalizes trade union action and internationalist solidarity. Hands off the Unions and the Workers! Freedom for Palestine! No participation, no involvement of Greece in imperialist wars!

Archive.today: FBI Demands Data from Provider Tucows

The mysterious website Archive.today is coming under the FBI’s crosshairs. A court order is forcing the provider Tucows to hand over user data.

It is one of the most mysterious and, at the same time, best-known websites on the internet. Archive.today has built up a user base over a period of more than ten years who use the service to access previous snapshots of a web page. So basically like the Wayback Machine of the Internet Archive, only largely free of rules and presumably therefore also anonymous. To the chagrin of the media industry, the service is also often used to bypass paywalls. This is also possible because the service does not adhere to common rules and laws and offers no opt-out option.

And so far, the operators have gotten away with it. Although there have been minor problems in the history of the service occasionally, for example, a top-level domain operator denied them further use of one of the many archive domains. However, the operation of the project, which is allegedly financed by donations and own funds, was not seriously endangered.

Court Order in the USA

But now the operators of archive.today are apparently fearing bigger trouble. In recent months and years, they had become noticeably quieter. Until two years ago, for example, questions were regularly answered in the blog. In the official X account, which had been silent for over a year, a new post appeared at the end of October new post. “Canary,” it said there, along with a URL. The mentioned canary bird is likely an allusion to an old custom in mining. A canary brought along warned the miners when it keeled over dead about the threat of invisible gas.

The deadly danger that the site operators fear is apparently linked to the PDF linked in the X post linked PDF. It contains a court order that the US investigative authority FBI has obtained. It instructs the Canadian provider Tucows to hand over comprehensive data about the customer behind archive.today. It concerns address and connection data as well as payment information. If Tucows does not provide the data, penalties are threatened. Whether the court order is genuine and how the operators of the site obtained it could not be verified so far.

Is the operator based in Russia?

Why the FBI is currently interested in archive.today, which is also accessible under the domains archive.is and archive.ph, is not evident from the court order. However, there are several obvious starting points for investigations: in addition to the obvious reason of copyright issues, the investigators could also be pursuing suspicions about unclear financing, the origin of the operators, or the technical approach.

In 2023, Finnish blogger Janni Patokallio compiled various clues and research results in a post in a post. According to this, Archive.today uses a botnet with changing IP addresses to circumvent anti-scraping measures. There are also indications that the operator(s) are based in Russia.

Discovered on July 1 with the NASA-funded ATLAS (Asteroid Terrestrial-impact Last Alert, System) survey telescope in Rio Hurtado, Chile, 3I/ATLAS is so designated as the third known interstellar object to pass through our Solar System It follows 1I/ʻOumuamua in 2017 and the comet 2I/Borisov in 2019. Also known as C/2025 N1, 3I/ATLAS is clearly a comet, its diffuse cometary coma, a cloud of gas and dust surrounding an icy nucleus, is easily seen in these images from the large Gemini North telescope on Maunakea, Hawai‘i. The left panel tracks the comet as it moves across the sky against fixed background stars in successive exposures. Three different filters were used, shown in red, green, and blue. In the right panel the multiple exposures are registered and combined to form a single image of the comet. The comet's interstellar origin is also clear from its orbit, determined to be an eccentric, highly hyperbolic orbit that does not loop back around the Sun and will return 3I/ATLAS to interstellar space. The situation with regards to Nova and Branch are mind blowing to me in a way.

What I'm referring to here is the fact that it's been 13 months(yesterday) since I got laid off from Branch/Nova after having spent the previous 9 years working for them.

When that huge layoff happening, and I was included with 220+ others who also lost their jobs, I was included in several news articles around the internet because of it. Mainly because I was the publicly facing person for Nova in a lot of ways for a lot of years, even though Kevin did all the work so to speak.

Now, again, 13 months later, Kevin leaves Branch and Nova, and yet I'm the one who gets included in several different news articles around the internet and have various news reporters reaching out to me to get my comments on the situation.

While it's cool and flattering, this is NOT about me in any way at all. This is about trying my hardest and my best to bring attention to the situation in hopes that Branch will do the right thing and open source Nova Launcher and give it back to the community, which is where it belongs!

In Gaza’s southern area of al-Mawasi, seven children were killed yesterday as they queued to collect water, in an area that Israel had marked as a “safe zone”.

Pools of blood mark where the children were standing when the Israeli drone hit. They had been fetching water at these communal taps.

“These were children who were getting water… just kids. See what they attacked. They attacked children, not fugitives,” a resident told Al Jazeera.

Most events advertised by media and government are fiction. What you see on the Internet and TV is not real. What experts, foundations, agencies, governments, and nonprofits say is never the truth. Reality is between you and your neighbor. How you treat your neighbor ... whether or not you treat your neighbor as equal in dignity and rights ... or whether or not you use your fears of government stories as an excuse to hate and abuse your neighbor ... which is why they give you their stories in the first place. By stoking division they can rule you, fleece you, control you, and profit from you.

In the Game of Thrones the Tyrion character was used to tell us who rules:

When you believe someone's stories, that person rules over you. The person who crafts the stories that you take for reality has control of your mind and your life. Whoever crafts your reality is your master. They keep ramping up the anxiety to stunt critical thinking and invoke emotional responses and emotional investment in narratives crafted to steer people into doing their bidding.
