To all those who are annoyed by the video having the wrong orientation (and I am too): please tell me how to rotate a video on Linux without making a mess (that is: re-encoding, installing obscure software, piping 58932570 terminal commands), and I will absolutely do it next time!

Edit: done, thanks to all the people who replied, and thanks again to @yawnbox

(I guess it’s gonna be a thing, so this hashtag, too)

I talk a lot about how computing is on a pendulum. The most recent swings of the last 4 years have brought me to an era where packages of software for and variants are available, but if you're on you're going to need to compile some code or otherwise generate a binary or executable, because the developers and engineers that write the (in this case for `opcode` formerly Claudia; an agentic shepherd) only use macOS and GNU/Linux 😂

              weird! I like it.

Just wrapped up a blog post about my recent experience contributing to NixOS and nixpkgs. It was great to help bring Drupal to such a unique a Linux distribution and that experience helped me learn a ton about reproducible operating systems design.

It also helped me realize that using NixOS as a all-in-one solution for building and deploying simple webservers could be a big win for the web and web publishers if implemented correctly.

@XLibreDev @antijingoist @resingm well, I've read enough drama re: this whole ordeal.

Or to put it in simple terms:

                    • "Please, fork off!"

As shitty as it may seem, is 'on live support' (like a braindead organ donor) and won't change the fact that the course of is locked in.

OFC people have the right to build their own Wayland & -free or -esque distro.

                    • I just don't see anyone wanting to build drivers for at best 1% of Desktops and nieche Distros not following conventions.

Instead I'm convinced by @ariadne will be the solution for the problem when it comes to applications & desktops that don't work on !

Aber nichts, was jetzt dramatisch wäre.

Cosmic macht also einen anständigen Eindruck... schon jetzt.
