Requiem
We inhabit this
Stellar threnody,
Ghosts of the
Twilight
With the burden
Of bone,
Ashes and cinder
Longing for home.
A living requiem
For the eons
Before us.

    There hanged
    In black velvet,
    The diamond lights
    Of our genesis.
    We are faceted,
    And know each
    Other by our
    Shimmering.

If I am being completely honest, "squared market concrete-loving marches" was the natural next step of seeing marches on the streets and this poem, which is very old, significantly father back than the posted date. I never got positive feedback from it in all those years, but I knew it had meaning.

Another Dorothea "poem" - she is so spiteful, she just keeps repeating the word "temple", but she is referring to the internal temples inside us.

Video essay: What Lesia Kulchynska discusses about the gig economy in warfare and terrorism has an obvious positive correlation with commodity fetishism. She demonstrates public anger is not what brings revolutions anymore and that new strategies need to be considered.

                                Dunraven

Hungry tides, break
your heart against a black,
unyielding stone; explode
in weeping spray, and
keen, for a lost embrace.

The sky is cold
as iron’s grip. The wind,
its breath of discord, howls
the wordless protest of
a lost, forsaken soul.

I hear her, still,
and feel horrific loss
across the years; what kills
the travails of each life,
to bind our hands, alone?

Ghosts of other
sorrows roam this ruined
hill; in silence, hearing,
hushed with empathy, all
our faint voices lament.

Blood sealed our fate.
It is not complete, Say,
how long? As Gods blink, they
forget. Say, how long, how
much longer, must we wait?

Too many lives,
too many ages, held
in water’s rage, in shore’s
defiance, in the wind’s
lament of remembrance.

Once more, my love,
Sun must set, Moon pass to
shade, before weary, yet
kind days, may promise all
another shore witnessed.

From the light of freedom to a concrete tomb,
The fall was great and swift.
My soul cried out in a mighty boom,
How could it come to this?

                                                    Clamped down, trapped stuck,
                                                    Paralyzed in a tiny cage.
Had fate left me not a drop of luck?
Was there reason for this rage?

Told to lay down and die,
                                                    Something deep inside me stirred.
I can’t be caged I have to fly!
                                                    Not yet am I interred.

They can take my body, tie me down,
                                                    It matters not a bit.
My spirit still runs wild and free,
So in freedom here I sit.
