I'm seeing this substring more now, most recently along the lines of "i have an error, the log is xxxx, Copilot says yyyy"

These are coming from intelligent, talented people more often.

Most of the time, the cause of the error and a fair hint at the fix is literally inside the thing they sent to copilot before asking me.

it's nice to feel valued, but i worry about the degraded critical problem solving skills now :(

They have probably about a dozen ways to know where each user is, and even thought they know I'm not in Quebec, the email is in English and French. One email for an entire continent.

Presumably Apple is paying Google a fortune for access to their
misinformation SLOP machine Gemini AI, and Apple wants to make sure you can't opt-out. That's how the billionaire Big Tech CEOs operate. They stuff this garbage DOWN YOUR THROAT like they own you. DISGUSTING.

Reports so far -- subject to change as I learn more -- are that unlike in previous versions of macOS there is no simple way to disable "Apple Stupidity" -- oops, I meant "Apple Intelligence" which is wedded at the hip to Siri. Also, reports are that the AI crap alone is taking 10s of gigabytes of space and comes right back when deleted. If you don't have a big storage Mac, this is going to hurt. Does Apple care? OF COURSE NOT. Like Google, it's all about keeping their billionaire CEOs living the lifestyle to which they've become accustomed and we could never dream of.

You might let Apple know how you feel about this, for whatever good it does.

If I learn more that changes any of this, I'll let you know.

AI is not the future of anything except domination and control. AI is the death of the future and the return to a dark age of conformity and social thought control. AI regurgitates accepted dogma and is a bar to real research and inspired creativity. AI is a homogeneity engine.

People becoming dependent upon AI will be homogenized zombies. Of course the AI will convince them they are wise thinkers. The more obedient they are to their hidden masters, the black box owners, the more the singularity system will assure them they are the avant garde of gray matter.

I have already seen numerous instances of idiots depending upon AI to come up with ridiculous conclusions while defending them like Don Qixote. This is becoming epidemic among researchers and techies.

Watch out for the controlled opposition--public figures pretending to be against creeping enslavement while leading their followers to do absolutely nothing useful to curtail or stop the advance.
