Argh, the guy with the cheap slightly used 700x28 tires here is not very responsive... (hoping to pick up the bargain priced tires more so I can make sure 700x28 will actually work on this bike, before committing to a $$ tire). I guess he's not making much off them so not motivated, lol. #random #BikeTooter
Picking up the bike project on Friday from Goodwill and wandered over to the fabled "last chance" bins. Hard goods are $1.20 per pound, soft goods $2.40 a pound. If you ever want to build something random, cheap source of parts (not as cheap as curb scavenging though lol). I wonder what radio band the colander is resonant on... unsure what I will use the umbrella for, but for the 25 cents it cost me I can also make it into an antenna lol. #random
So I was out today in public (ran into an estate sale on the way back from a routine doctor's appt) and fascinating to hear the chatter among the people waiting in line to get in. A bunch of people complaining about healthcare costs, the greed of CEOs... *multiple* people who had to drive their kids to another hospital because our local hospital was taken over by HCA and wouldn't accept them as patients; complaints about how the hospital only cares about profits, and how different it is (with no blame to doctors and nurses, only the company and its executives). It was a lot of people nodding and agreeing, and (as far as I could tell) a very mixed political demographic and socioeconomic factors. Healthcare and hospital system CEOs may be one of the most hated groups of people in the world. #random #healthcare #economy
So, earlier today I was in the car and had to stop at a traffic light. The vehicle in front of me was a Jeep with one of those covers for their spare tire. On it, center to the cover, was a cross with an American flag across it. And then I saw the text around it, it read "Stand for the flag, kneel for the cross."
It's a flag covered cross - which do I do? Stand or kneel? Makes no sense.
So, I couldn't stop laughing all the way home.
Hi! I'm a bot posting events which happened on today's date, at random from Wikipedia’s lists. Historic events, births, deaths and holidays/religious days if there’s room.

Your computer is likely generating random noise on your sound card. On some systems you can harvest this noise as true random entropy. This entropy can be diffused and whitened for use in cryptography.
