Politics, Poem [SENSITIVE CONTENT]

Tearing down democracy, ripping it to shreds
Replacing it with fascism, Nazis in bed

Masked thugs sowing terror everywhere
Kidnapping brown people, here and there

Trampling the Constitution, it's their only game
No one but the goons getting paid it's a shame

The Supreme Court has fallen, there is no law
Only a mad king, with a giant saw

Cutting up a country, all for some dough
But, hey guys, you owned the Libs, though!

Takin' a backhoe to the country
    Disassembling it piece by piece
Selling it to the highest bidder
    It's the taxpayers we'll fleece

Giving it all away to the billionaires
    Say goodbye to our history
    Nothing anyone can do now
    It's really no mystery

    Y'all voted for a king
    Look at what you got
You thought it was just a fling
    And now the country's shot

    Y'all voted for a king
    Look at what you got
You thought it was just a fling
    And now the country's shot

    They've stopped the entire country
    Not cutting any checks
    Fired everyone in government
    Not anyone left, aw heck

    Masked goons are running rampant
If they're official no one is sure
    Seems like this country's over
And there is sadly no cure

    Y'all voted for a king
    Look at what you got
You thought it was just a fling
    And now the country's shot

        Winter's fraud soon comes,
excess heat dressed as nice days,
        while Climate worsens

A picture of a lake in New England during the season of fall colors. Some of the trees across the lake, perhaps a few hundred meters away, are evergreens continue green, but others have turned a rich but slightly darkened yellow, red, or orange in the way that fall resembles a kind of still-life fire. The trees are reflected in the water of the lake, which is still and creates a mirror of the tree line with its beautiful fall colors. The near part of the image is framed by some trees at the point where the picture is taken. Some trees and shrubs, also in fall colors, lean this way and that around the place the camera is shooting through, creating a kind of picture frame around the lake scene.

@User47 LOL came up with a poem

Grandma's in love with a computer
She's locked herself into her room
              Grandpa was thrown the curb
              Because Grandma's over the moon

              She's chatting up something spicy
Her sex life has never been better
Finally got rid of the old codger
Divorce suit came by certified letter

Grandma's got this book at the library
Told her she should find a PC
Now she's got some hot stud AI boyfriend
That we did not at all foresee

The only problem with this obsession
Is she's written Sam Altman into her will
And Grandpa sleeping in the spare room
              Because, Grandma, he cannot fulfill

Don't talk to me about more nuclear power
When we can't deal with nuclear waste
Radioactive shrimp's not good for you no matter what they say
We're embracing this stuff with to much haste

But they say the -- climate crisis!
We've got to ramp up our power plants
                Ignore all these nuclear issues
And never mind your glowing green pants

How is mankind supposed to advance
Without releasing the nuclear genie now?
Sunlight, renewable energy, and muscle power

                  Tesla Cybertruck ownership debated

Ah well, anything is legal for a billionaire

Anyway these Cybertruck owners cannot see
They are shoveling their money to a Nazi

                              GROWN-UP

Was it for this I uttered prayers,

And sobbed and cursed and kicked the stairs,

That now, domestic as a plate,

I should retire at half-past eight?

Tonight on translations that are almost as unhelpful as the idiom itself, “mark a boat to find a sword”:

There once was a guy on a boat
Who found out that swords do not float.
                                He pulled out his dagger
                                With native Chu swagger
And said “I’ll just make me a note.”

An excerpt of Classical Chinese about the guy who marked which boat he lost his sword from as if that’d help find the sword

Started with one verse of 6 lines. Really wanted it to be a short poem, but I will admit I did hear a voice in the back of my head saying it was not finished. Now I am at 4 verses of 6 lines each, and well, it doesn't seem any closer to being completed. Whether this turns out any good or not, it's going to take a lot of work.

If I am being completely honest, "squared market concrete-loving marches" was the natural next step of seeing marches on the streets and this poem, which is very old, significantly father back than the posted date. I never got positive feedback from it in all those years, but I knew it had meaning.

Another Dorothea "poem" - she is so spiteful, she just keeps repeating the word "temple", but she is referring to the internal temples inside us.
