Instead disassemble it as much as you can, use paper to dry it a bit, then place it in a stream of dry and warm air (f.e. on top of a radiator).
Leave for a day or two. Then turn it on.
Just eat the rice. Maybe with bits of courgette. Don't let the rice anywhere near the phone as blocking airflow does the opposite of what you want.

'In Hamburg sollen ab dem 1. September die Bewegungen von Menschen auf dem Hansa- und dem Hachmannplatz zum KI-Training genutzt werden. Dazu werden ihre Abbilder in eine Art Strichmännchen umgewandelt. Angeblich sind die personenbezogenen Daten so vollumfänglich geschützt. Dabei können tatsächlich auch nicht-anonymisierte Daten zum KI-Training weitergegeben werden.
Am Hamburger Hansaplatz war das System in 2023 bereits drei Monate in Betrieb. Im Rahmen eines Forschungsprojekts, das noch bis Februar 2026 läuft, wurde offenkundig, dass die Technologie zu ihrer eigenen Ausweitung drängt. Gleichzeitig ist unklar, wie sie am Ende tatsächlich eingesetzt werden soll.'

'Innenminister Alexander #Dobrindt (CSU) will mit Gesichtserkennung im Internet nach unbekannten oder untergetauchten Straftäter:innen fahnden. Dazu müsste er eine gigantische Datenbank aufbauen, erläutert nun ein Gutachten im Auftrag der Organisation „Algorithm Watch“ (AW). „Eine solche Datenbank mit allen frei verfügbaren Fotos aus dem Internet wäre jedoch eindeutig rechtswidrig“, sagt AW-Geschäftsführer Matthias Spielkamp.
Die #Bundesregierung arbeitet an zwei Gesetzen „zur Stärkung digitaler Ermittlungsbefugnisse in der Polizeiarbeit“. Bekannt wurden sie im Sommer auch als Dobrindts „Sicherheitspaket“. Ein zentraler Punkt ist die Foto-Fahndung mit Gesichtserkennung. Anhand eines Fotos soll im Internet nach weiteren Fotos der gleichen Person gesucht werden. So könnten unbekannte Verdächtige oder untergetauchte Straftäter:innen gefunden werden, hofft Dobrindt.
„Biometrischer Abgleich mit öffentlich zugänglichen Daten aus dem Internet“ nennt sich die Methode in den Gesetzentwürfen.'

"Viele Demonstrationen in #Mannheim starten oder enden auf dem Alten Messplatz. Am Rand des Platzes, an der Alten Feuerwache, hängen acht Überwachungskameras, weitere sind über den Platz verteilt. Insgesamt filmen 70 Kameras die Innenstadt, 46 davon sind an eine #KI-Verhaltenserkennung gekoppelt.
Das ist spätestens dann ein Problem, wenn Menschen hier demonstrieren wollen. David Werdermann, Jurist bei der Gesellschaft für Freiheitsrechte, sagt: „Die Versammlungsfreiheit lebt davon, dass Menschen ohne Angst und Einschüchterung ihre Meinung auf der Straße kundtun können.“ Videoüberwachung und KI-gestützte Auswertung könne Menschen von der Versammlungsteilnahme abhalten, „zumal sie sich wegen des Vermummungsverbots nicht gegen eine mögliche Erfassung wehren können“....."

A new Republican bill would target foreign sites distributing pirated TV shows, movies, anime, sports, books, software and more. Court-ordered blocking could reach ISPs, DNS providers and certain large VPN services, meaning a VPN may not bypass it.
