So, I have a problem with this.

My post in no way damaged the reputation of Codeberg. It publicly asked them to do something about it and to state, publicly, where they stand on an issue. An issue, may I add, that has to do with real people facing actual genocide as we speak. Not to mention I thanked them for making the right decision (https://mastodon.ar.al/@aral/117043586669877395). If anything, until this email, it made the organisation look better. Unless, of course, opposing certain genocides is something that damages reputations in Germany.

I do not agree with the public issue being closed either. An issue was reported and the response was not “oh, this is serious, we’ll look into it”. It was, rather, “you reported it wrong. Report the same thing at this other place instead.”

And that other place is an entirely opaque internal system where no one gets to see what decision-making process is employed.

This is not the transparency that should exist in a member-run organisation.

So at the end of the day, I am the one being threatened with being removed from membership while the person who is actively trying to harm genocide victims (https://codeberg.org/Linux-Is-Best/) is still welcome on Codeberg?

This is a very insidious form of bothsidesism and, I can only imagine, is to ensure that I keep quiet in the future and to create a chilling effect where we cannot discuss certain things publicly for fear of reprisals.

Well, that won’t be happening.

I am sick and tired of people who cannot provide a proportional response when asked to choose between people harming genocide victims on the one hand and those trying to protect them on the other.

If this means I cannot be a member of Codeberg, so be it.

Let me know if I’m not welcome there and I will leave.

I said I refer potential donors to https://gaza-verified.org/donate/ rather than spotlight individual families because *every* family suffers, but Mai's fundraiser (@rouh) is a special case:

She takes care not only of her own family but also of 30 orphans from her neighborhood. These orphans have nobody but her. And Mai is only 20 years old herself. Mai provides these children with food as if they were her own. During the harsh desert winter, she provided them with warm jackets and saved their tiny bodies from freezing to death. She organizes activities for the children like a kindergardener to give them a resemblance of a childhood during loss, tragedy, and traumatization.

The weekly minimum of $200 to be featured by @gaza_verified_campaigns was determined for a regular family, not for 31+ people. When Mai's campaign isn't listed there, it doesn't mean she received above the minimum. If you see that she received a donation 16 hours ago, that doesn't mean she's taken care of for today because, again, she provides for more than 31 people, not just the average-sized family.

This is important. A UK Appeals Tribunal (correctly imo) identifies Zionism as racist, ideological, and imperial as its purpose is to displace an indigenous population.

This also implies it is, at the very least, the framework for genocide, be it cultural, or physical.

According to the anonymous Linux-Is-Best account, I am a scammer and Gaza Verified (https://gaza-verified.org), which I made and help run, is a scam, and every person from Gaza we verified using video calls – all 303 of them, by last count¹ – is also a scammer.

1. Either remove me as an active member (and give me notice so I can cancel my direct debit and have time to migrate my account and projects elsewhere), or

2. Take down the libellous claims by this anonymous troll who is causing real harm to people facing genocide in Gaza (and who is thus, himself, complicit in genocide).

So I’m either a scammer and I should not be allowed to be part of the Codeberg organisation or the anonymous Linux-Is-Best is a libellous, genocide-complicit troll and should not be welcome at Codeberg. Because both of these cannot be true at the same time.

I’ll leave it to you to decide who you would rather want associated with Codeberg.

The #Takanawa #Catholic #Church just called the police on me. The police were very nice and understanding and let me go after a brief talk.

I have been seeking #Justice after being assaulted by the guards at Hope Services ( a catholic charity), in #Kona #Hawaii . Several other #homeless people had confided in me that they were being abused, but did not dare speak out, for fear of further violence. Also, they depend upon the charity for food.

I approached the catholic leaders politely in Kona, and they did not take responsibility. Then I moved to #Tokyo seeking political asylum.

I approached Mr. Takaii, a priest at the #Meguro Catholic Church, and asked for answers concerning the abuse. Mr. Takaii told me that he did not speak any English, though we had been talking in English for a few days, and he speaks English fluently.

After persistently and politely raising questions with the Takanawa church, I kept being stonewalled. I still have questions about why they cannot feed me 3 meals a day, turning me away hungry, though they just held a fundraiser for #hungry people in the Philippines. The priest, Mr. Noguchi harshly told me to go back to America.

Just now, I returned to Takanawa church from the police station, and Mr. Noguchi handed me a letter from Mr. Wataru Suematsu, the parish leader, banning me from church, and threatening police action.

I intend to get justice for me, and for other people the Catholic Church continues to abuse.

The Catholic Church is doing something shady with the money, as it is a lavishly constructed church, with a big attendance on weekends, and collects a lot of money.

The Catholic Church is an organization by and for, old white men. They will always elect an old white man as #pope . A 39 year old Japanese woman will never be pope.
