Nuclear Fusion (The Milky Way): The light from the galaxy is produced by billions of stars fusing hydrogen into helium. It is the most violent and powerful process in the universe, yet from our perspective in the lavender, it looks just as delicate and quiet as a firefly's glow.

The Scale: A firefly lives for a few weeks; a star like our Sun lives for 10 billion years. Capturing them in the same frame is like seeing a single heartbeat and the history of time overlapping.

When I came back the band was jamming on Jame’s looping tune. I joined in and we all liked it a lot.

Of course I was recording.

We decided to add the song to our repertoire and James gave it a great title, “Solar Flares and Polar Bears”. I was inspired by the title to write some lyrics.

On Good Friday we were having a party. We were supposed to have campfire music first but the burn ban was on so I put a little electrice heater in the middle of our campfire circle turning the fake flames on while leaving the heat off.

The party's over.

Campfire music for 2 hrs until the mosquitos came out.

We're on a burn ban so we put an electric fake fire out in the burning pit with the heat turned off. It was 85 degrees F.

Then we came in the house for #jazz #blues #fusion. It was a blast. I recorded.

Somewhere in there we ate a bunch of chili.

A good time was had by all.

Tomorrow we're at the park with Jazz Buskers and then Sunday, Easter Dinner.

I love family reunions.
