I had 4 attempted bot sign-in attempts so far today, all within 14 seconds. I assume these are part of the credential stuffing attacks being publicized.
All 4 were blocked.

What is funny is the user agent used by all four:
Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X 10_9_2) AppleWebKit/5361 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/38.0.815.0 Mobile Safari/5361
"PPC Mac OS X 10_9_2" claims to be a PowerPC Mac, which was discontinued around 2006, that nevertheless is running Chrome 38 on iOS/Mobile Safari.
They aren't even trying to look real.
Beyond funny and interesting, EVERYONE should be aware that these attacks are ongoing. ENABLE 2FA on your account, please! And use a unique and strong password. None of us want to deal with the spam.

Ho detto più volte, in passato, che la sicurezza IT resterà una faccenda “just for the show”, e quindi per showmen, finché non arriverà il vero merdone. Quello successo in Francia non è ancora il vero merdone, ma è abbastanza grosso da mandare un messaggio chiaro. Eppure è finito tutto in pasto ai giornali, senza un’analisi seria e senza una reale voglia di capire che cosa sia successo, e perché.
Un’azienda che installa e gestisce impianti di refrigerazione ha un problema molto concreto: deve sapere che cosa succede ai frigoriferi dei propri clienti, possibilmente prima che se ne accorga il cliente.
Per questo esistono sistemi di controllo connessi a Internet che monitorano le temperature, rilevano le anomalie e inviano allarmi al personale delle operations. Un compressore che si ferma, una temperatura che supera la soglia, un impianto che esce dai parametri di funzionamento: tutto viene segnalato, e si può mandare subito un tecnico sul posto.
