Cats in the swimming pool.

These two brothers (from different litters, but from the same feral momma-cat) eat in the garage, but we had a problem with fire ants getting into their food bowls. When that happened, the cats refused to eat any more of the kibble, because ants were all over it, and they do sting.

Putting the food bowls inside a cheap, plastic swimming pool solved that. The fire ants never find the food any more.

I think we broke a record here today. The high at the house (in Arkansas) was 104 degrees F. Even this time lapse video from the window makes it look hot. Also, it's interesting how the trees never stop moving, even with little wind.

#Dream from two nights ago....

It was dark outside and smoke was in the air. (I live in Arkansas, USA.) I looked outside to find the source and saw ground fires in the woods, but did not see trees burning.

I looked up to the clouds and prayed to God, and it began to rain. Rain puts out fires.

This dream seemed more spiritual than physical, so I was surprised today seeing news of actual smoke and fires in the physical realm also.

The cat shelter is open for business! It still needs some work, but the bare minimum is there.

This is the first night the feral momma cat and her female kitten are staying overnight in the shelter.

There are currently 15 cats living with us.... Many are inside the house. We are just about at full capacity! Neither of the two cats shown in this video have yet allowed me to pet them. I hope they will become tame enough for me to take them to the vet to get spayed.
