Just had a heart to heart with my doctors office, that was bought out by investment bros and private equity, about their new policy of cold calling and then asking for your DOB and other vitals after I refused to give it when their new national call center called.

If you call me, don't expect I will give you that info to verify you are speaking to me because of HIPAA privacy rules. It could be anyone calling and phishing for information. Also, don't scold me and say next time, they will cancel my appointment or even remove me as a patient if I don't.

The rudeness level after private equity took over this practice and migrated from local office contact to national call center is unapparelled to anything I have ever experienced.

Don't even try to call your local practice now. It goes to the national call center.
