Funny game chaos moment:
I would post a screenshot, but NVDA wouldn't show the cursor context — so here's the chaos in words instead.
I had Infini-Crawl open (a browser incremental roguelike: https://games.buddywagner.com/InfiniCrawl/InfiniCrawl.html).
Squeaker, my dog, climbed on my lap and stood on the Enter key while my cursor was over a skeleton key in my inventory.
Result: about 20 popup dialogs in a row, all saying, “There is nothing here to unlock.”

Squeaker became a context-agnostic automated system.

Yesterday, I learned two shocking things that really shocked me....1 - the coyotes around here won't viciously attack your dog, but rather play with your dog in a happy fun way! (my neighbour tells me), and 2 - this WILD born, Northern Manitoba, mix breed who is an absolute nightmare of death to any squirrel who should ever run too slow (never happens), upon seeing a neigbour's dog, will run away as fast as possible like a scaredy-cat and leave you there to defend yourself!

Summer woke up with an upset stomach.
Sometimes she manages to eat something she probably shouldn't.
My husband heard her making funny, not funny, noises and ran out the front door into the rain with her. He forgot to don some shoes first.

Well, we bin and gone and dun a fing.

There was a family in Penrith (NSW, Australia) whose lease wasn't renewed—the usual story when a rental hike is happening—and they were getting desperate to find a home for their dog, a kelpie cross.

Since we already have a kelpie and a kelpie-cross, it seemed only natural...

The son brought the dog out to us on his regular trucking route, and he (the dog, not the son) meshed with our two girls quickly. Well behaved, trained, desexed, and travels fine (the dog; can't vouch for the son).

So, uh, anyway, we now have three dogs.

Meet _Tank_, the newest addition to our travelling menagerie.

*EDIT* We've worked out Tank is a kelpie/huntaway cross. A good mix.

Working on my New Testament final project from the recliner (feet grounded on a stepstool because anything else = instant nap 😴). Chronic fatigue + occipital neuralgia means this setup is the only way I can focus.

Of course, my dog Squeaker needed his kennel out here so he could see me. He was already in his "pocket" bed, so I bent down to put him in… and Rain, one of our big dogs, took the opportunity to lick me right in the mouth. Twice.

Third try = success. Mom and I laughed so hard. Squeaker's settled now, Rain's proud of herself, and I'm back to writing.

I just made edible eye glasses for my coworker's puppy rottweiler who has "eaten" several pairs of reading glasses of his owner this fall. I'll give them as a gift tomorrow.
