soc.octade.net is a Fediverse instance that uses the ActivityPub protocol. In other words, users at this host can communicate with people that use software like Mastodon, Pleroma, Friendica, etc. all around the world.

          I had been using Archive.IS. (I think, a white frequented URL.
          .mIn the meantime, I read in an article, that it was a Russian (spy?) site, presumably profiling people., so I was using a VPN. With alternating countries. Needless to say, they soon found out and are now blockinat least 2 VPNs, alas.

                  ‚Test mit solcher Software laufen bereits andernorts in Deutschland: seit 2018 in Mannheim und seit 2023 in Hamburg. Wir haben uns in beiden Städten umgehört, was Menschen, die dort mit der Technologie zu tun haben, den Berliner*innen raten können, die sie jetzt ungefragt vor die Nase gesetzt bekommen.

                  Zur Videoüberwachung an sich haben wir zudem nach Köln gesehen. Dort filmen 106 Kameras den öffentlichen Raum, die ersten wurden schon 2016 installiert. Und auch aus der Berliner Opposition gab es Hinweise, wie es für überwachungskritische Menschen in der Hauptstadt jetzt weitergehen kann.‘
