In another sign of the approaching end of the AI bubble... holders of corporate debt issued by the builders of data centres have been selling it off in the last couple of weeks.

Now, of course, to sell there must be buyers but to make the sale(s) the price has dropped (and, so yields have risen) indicating the new buyers assess the risk of default on such loans as growing.

On its own not 'market moving' but one more sign that the sheen is coming off AI investments!

                      Waiting in the wings...

Conquest (in progress), along with War, Death, and Famine, just waiting for the word.

Yes, the deity is The King in Yellow; you know it makes sense.

Five men: Conquest, in white with the symbol of a crown on his lapel; War, in red with the symbol of a sword; Death, in sickly green with a biohazard symbol; Famine, in black with the symbol of scales. They are all watching to one side, waiting for the word from the deity, the King in Yellow, whose symbol of infinity is on his cane.

At the top is the word "America." At the bottom is the sentence "It's almost time."

I am not buying it. Nvidia clearly has an incentive to sell this as an arms race, which it is; however, to what extent? They are using fear tactics so that the government will pay Nvidia to give it to OpenAI, which will then give it to Oracle, AWS, Microsoft; subsequently, they will buy more GPUs, allowing them to invest it back in OpenAI. One hell of a circular deal, also causing massive tech layoffs and environmental damage.
