-Print for that releases under the Skin

Engineers from MIT, recently created a chip with a 3D-printed component that can be embedded under the skin. This 3D-printed mechanism is able to release medicinal contents when the device is triggered by a wireless command.

    news.mit.edu/2025/implantable-

According to the news publication shared by MIT, there are potential use cases for this technology in quite a few areas of medicine. For example, the device could be used to help diabetic patients receive critical doses of medicine automatically when they need it. It can also be used to deliver medicine to patients while they sleep.

👾In the case of diabetic patients, the chip is designed to hold powdered glucagon inside a 3D-printed reservoir. The patient's blood sugar can be monitored separately and remotely. If the blood sugar drops too low, the chip can be triggered wirelessly to release the glucagon when the patient needs it most.👾

⁉️The 3D printed reservoir is closed using a nickel-titanium alloy. The chip can be programmed to heat this alloy when wirelessly triggered, which causes the alloy to bend into a U shape. This releases the medicine into the patient's body. At the moment, the chip is a work in progress, but it's still far enough along to support multiple doses.⁉️

👾The team confirmed they were able to use up to four doses of glucagon on a single chip which lasted for four weeks during the test processes. They are hoping to increase this duration to as much as a year. The current models are undergoing trials on mice but the team plans extend to human clinical trials in a few years.👾

The media is playing an important role, as this political cartoon by Andy Marlette shows.
Can the be better? Anything can be better, but Trump wants all of the media to be like Fox News and the like increasingly biased extremists at CBS.

'Nigel Farage has built his career on one trick: convincing people he’s the outsider raging against the establishment. Yet no politician in modern British history has been given such an easy ride by that very establishment – above all, the mainstream media'!

Our media has comprehensively failed in its key political role; casting a critical(!) eye on politicians' claims & positions.

Today the LibDems conference gets under way & while there's not exactly been a news blackout you'd be struggling to find reams of analysis & discussion of the prospects for the weekend....

The skewing of the media environment towards the right has (again?) left the LibDems scrambling to gain some traction... and now challenged on the Left from a newly energised Green Party under Zac Polanski, Ed Davey is will need to move beyond stunts to hope to gain attention...

Billionaires are accelerating their efforts to consolidate control over media platforms and the president is eager to help them do so, provided they shut down his critics. If they don’t, he threatens to use the levers of government to financially punish them. None of this is secret; the brazenness is, at least partly, the point":

People who have never mentioned Charlie Kirk are being wrongfully targeted online and doxxed. @taylorlorenz reports on two such cases. Ali Nasrati discovered, after receiving a barrage of abuse and death threats and being suspended from work, that an X account started in May was using his name and a photo stolen from his social media. Cynthia Rehberg, a school principal in Wisconsin, was misidentified by a conservative influencer from a Facebook post, after which her district received 800 voicemails calling for her firing. "Over 200,000 people think that I'm somebody that I'm not," Nastrati told Lorenz, referring to the number of views one of the X posts attacking him received. "I don't know if anybody's following me. I don't feel safe going into public areas. I don't know who's there. I don't know who is going to be able to recognize me or not, or who might do something. I'm constantly looking behind my back."
