Charles Boycott, The Hated English Land Agent Whose Name Inspired The Word ‘Boycott’

    By Ainsley Brown

"After Charles Boycott tried to evict a number of his tenant farmers in 1880, locals in County Mayo, Ireland, fought back by ostracizing him — leading to the term "boycott."

Left or Right - Mast Left or Right - it's more about how much people debate and talk about these points - which #Left seem to be best at avoiding while professional liers / politician take their money endlessly damaging cultures / not creating healthy life... [SENSITIVE CONTENT]

@kathimmel Really easy to see that until "all" the people (let's say the many or 'common folk') are ducking everything - so then you have to go do something... else you have what you have in Ireland... over-population (even without the race / racism or personal politics)

Those politicians are getting away with financial murder (directly or indirectly) with all money from to house more people in already-poor - raking it in (like I mean getting paid tons for it and not spending / giving money to Irish projects).

If it's true has around 10,000-1400 people and 3,500 added / imported then it's crazy and have to wonder why so many as a % of extra strangers never mind the and ... even if they were Irish.

So aside from homeless ... you have people paid to do other stuff without asking the people... (it's covered up - parents not officially / properly asked or even told).

Just too many purely on numbers and then ignoring existing people... money again over people. They'll keep doing that unfortunately and not everyone is comfortable with that. It's a lot like Trump or anything else.

So my question is, from all the tactics and money-bags we can see - when would it be enough for you (asking politely) and what would you do about it when your clearly don't care?

(any reader welcome as I think doing nothing now is surely not the way)

So or or any label that ignores or does near-nothing or has in change without them is perhaps worst or accordingly scared and turning up to anything once a year might seem better even if you're labelled activist racist fascist (and by that I mean "not doing 0 about it" or being as mini-lords is worse, which as I think the Left measurably is...)

Just too comfortable paying for problems... Maybe people have different lines and like paying I don't know!

It's not easy (we have all done it sitting back) but when is it enough and where do you go when computer says no and nobody is listening?

Asking without adding too much spice - but if you turn a blind eye for a long time then that is actually (technically) quite the same or more right than left

        - so that's why the actions are more to and find out I guess and I guess also you don't just suddenly become EDL for it! That wouldn't be nearly impossible.

Do nice labels to sit into, doing nearly-nothing (which does have it's place _sometimes_) does mean reliably you just get steamrollered or keep getting backed up in corners / cowering from trying to not look like a problem from a problem-creating diversive system... (sorry, it is a bad situation)

Thoughts welcome from neutral / balanced points of view...

Let's go over some of these points, else if you have "no time for it" I don't know what else to say...again things will be unreplie.

The rest below was cut out but left them in if you want more but I imagine this is more than enough and all the work most of us MUST DO since we are all way behind / fooled / lied to for years already...

        (optionally more below)

just don't want to even talk about or thinking continuing to work their job is responsible enough let alone deeply debate... that's what I think is done by people out there - talking - else you box yourself in and get out of touch naturally.

I'm not sure a;; turning up there and mum's on street are all or were involved with (was EJDL according to "Silenced" documentary*) and not genuinely worried with 0 politician replies almost literally!

It's not just people sucked in without knowing yes a lot of baggage but perhaps a lot of good points and even receipts presented by those talking about government deals / spending / money taken while left politics does really poorly and makes sure they don't step on anyone's toes even those stamping on them or playing elsewhere...

Anyway not trying to push my politics but nearly-nothing vs. lots of presented points and public attempts seem too easy as what is needed to at least get discussion regardless of thinking tuning up somewhere will get you massively sucked in.

Let's go over some of these points, else if you have "no time for it" I don't know what else to say... just let it stay unreplied.

"Cars are literally killing the planet" [SENSITIVE CONTENT]

          @kim_harding
I admit it's powerful and staring us in the face daily.

          are literally killing the

          , , is direct impacted

At the same time I'd like to see people say this and fuck that less.... because it's a little too much like asking for no cars or to damage them INSTEAD of nicely needing to reduce that towards calmer transition because anyway we can't them (if it means getting rid of etc)... and better we reduce (also gives us ideas for other ideas in its place an literally can be life and death or cause trouble to solve one thing). So a is also a collection of things that need solving (both reduce and increase other ways to it / render it useless so even if someone gave it free you'd be like "I already have XYZ way no thanks don't need it").

So instead of "fuck" (which I understand as an expression etc and don't want to over-intellectualise) maybe is more realistic controlled word and kind of lets viewer / reader have less of that and more to themselves as "fuck, I didn't know cars are more damaging than on earth / in the + / etc)

It's like too much fuck this fuck that everywhere (even fuck etc is too much) and so I think I was looking for real even balanced focus for determined people who will be shocked or not just to say fuck to themselves if it really hits home rather than too much like wanting to damage more things.

I've personally kicked side-mirrors off cars when younger and well it's not the way though it might have hit the point about how I feel after the pub.

I love people watching -- and when I'm in a pub, that's almost inevitable.

I recently watched a table opposite me of US Americans, who were clearly here in the UK for the first time, as they seemed rather bewildered. I can completely understand why -- if you're in a foreign country -- even one which speaks native English -- it doesn't make it any easier.

I suppose British pub culture is unique unto itself -- and if you're not used to it, it's going to be weird. A pub isn't a restaurant and therefore some of the expected "rules" don't apply -- at least not consistently.

Take, for example, whether there was table-service or not. In this pub, there isn't -- it's expected you take your order to the bar, and pay for it at the same time. This seemed confusing to the Americans -- and I can understand why if you're always used to being waited on.

Of course -- most of them ordered Fish And Chips, a rite of passage for anyone who's never tried them. I can think of many other places besides this one which do them far better. They neglected to try them with malt vinegar, a missed opportunity!

It was interesting to watch -- I wanted to go up and "help" them, but did not, obviously. I just feel for their situation -- I just hope they weren't under the illusion they were getting the "British" experience, they definitely were not.

I suppose this is the "danger" of travelling -- without the knowledge necessary to work out what the locals do -- you'll fall into these "traps".

I daresay I did exactly the same with with my recent trip to -- c'est la vie, and all that.

I understood the Americans were travelling down to Cornwall, so I hope they enjoy that, and at least eat a !

Although the meteors all traveled on straight paths, these paths appear slightly curved by the wide-angle lens of the capturing camera. The meteor streaks can all be traced back to a single point on the sky called the radiant, here just off the top of the frame in the constellation of Perseus. The same camera took a deep image of the background sky that brought up the central band of our Milky Way galaxy running nearly vertical through the image center. Eclipses in mythology and culture

                          from Contributors to Wikimedia projects

Eclipses of the Sun and of the Moon have been described by nearly every culture. In cultures without an astronomical explanation, eclipses were often attributed to supernatural causes or regarded as bad omens.
                          ---
                          Religious and cultural practices

While solar and lunar eclipses are today understood astronomically as one celestial body shadowing another, their appearance from Earth does not intuitively belie a similar cause for each.
Mark Littmann, Fred Espenak, and Ken Willcox classified solar eclipse mythologies into four distinct genres:

+ A celestial being (usually a monster) attempts to destroy the Sun.
+ The Sun fights with its lover the Moon.
+ The Sun and Moon make love and discreetly hide themselves in darkness.
+ The Sun god grows angry, sad, sick, or neglectful.
                          ---
                          Abrahamic religions

In the Talmud, solar eclipses are described as ill omens and several events in the Hebrew Bible are said to have occurred during eclipses. Judaism at large has been accepting of the modern astronomical explanation of eclipses and today many rabbis consider eclipses to be reminders of divinity and a time for prayer and introspection.
                          ___
The periodicity of lunar eclipses been deduced by Neo-Babylonian astronomers in the sixth century BCE and the periodicity of solar eclipses was deduced in first century BCE by Greek astronomers, who developed the Antikythera mechanism and had understood the Sun, Moon, and Earth to be spherical celestial bodies since Aristotle. The astronomical understanding of eclipses was thus well understood in the Ancient Near East in which Christianity developed.

One of the all-time historic skyscapes occured in July 1054, when the Crab Supernova blazed into the dawn sky. Chinese court astrologers first saw the Guest Star on the morning of 4 July 1054 next to the star Tianguan (now cataloged as Zeta Tauri). The supernova peaked in late July 1054 a bit brighter than Venus, and was visible in the daytime for 23 days. The Guest Star was so bright that every culture around the world inevitably discovered the supernova independently, although only nine reports survive, including those from China, Japan, and Constantinople. This iPhone picture is from Signal Hill near Tucson on the morning of 26 July 2025, faithfully re-creates the year 1054 Dawn of the Crab, showing the sky as seen by Hohokam peoples. The planet Venus, as a stand-in for the supernova, is close to the position of what is now the Crab Nebula supernova remnant. Step outside on a summer dawn with bright Venus, and ask yourself "What would you have thought in ancient times when suddenly seeing the Dawn of the Crab?"

BUILDING CULTURE (Example how not to do it and what to do better...) Modern People are out of their mind!... [SENSITIVE CONTENT]

So you meet a new person and profile online and what seems to be a great "build culture / empower people / teach people / etc".

But when you reach out to them their 2nd reply really stinks - Their attitude has taken what you say and made it into something else. From just the 2nd reply...

I admit a lot of things (like writing longer than average or other comparisons to others), but why people make things into even more of a mess or not work it out with you?

So how do we solve that mess (from previous history also) and even with people who say in their bio :decolonizing our methods and creating empowering, healing, and regenerative learning communities." to not do the opposite and create frustration and accusation.

The very people who do this for a living or have similar intentions just block people like that! It's so unskilled. If you write me something long I'm not going to flip out like this about it... and I hope any 'culture' in the future isn't going to do similar.

It seems more than a "hello" or long text, and suddenly they turn into someone else or get themselves in a twist and even label you (which is insulting!)...

So here's the reply and I'll show more of how the person got to this point (without my intending too and being sincere all the time)

                                  2nd reply I get:

:airquote: "@freeschool babbling, irrelevant, and directionless comments like this are energy vampire behavior. Insisting and changing platforms (esp when 0 people asked you for a 1:1) and ending with a negging compliment like that are signature manipulative behaviors of abusers. None of this is welcome here, you're blocked, but commenting in case others wonder why." :airquote:

I ask "what is wrong with people" and answer myself the same things this person user is working on ! (@multilingualfutures )

So...on top of not working through things a bit after my long message, someone accuses you of lots of extra stuff.. and it's like WOW... etc. Also a bit of anger or frustration increases rather than anything towards positive - To be straight even if I or another person writes you an essay - unless they really are clearly swearing and insulting then I think people should go the 'extra mile' beyond 2 messages 'deep' (LOL). Work through it instead of insult!

It's like people will do / say anything to avoid finding out more. No surely this can't be a real long message - SPAM SPAM SPAM - Like writing off a car when only a part of it seems damages though the narrow lens of text message and even that might not be true when you really talk to them.

So the next time someone writes something long. Don't be a ___.

THIS DOESN'T BUILD CULTURE AT ALL.

➡️ My message is here qoto.org/@freeschool/115233139 and was only trying to bring to the table a lot of my experience (maybe the person isn't interested but could say why or ask what parts they didn't understand)...

And I'm here to show for myself (as poorly or well as my profile does) that THIS is it and my dissection is here without hammering on people but their patterns ARE CRAP and what I call seem to have isms and measurable display poor judgement much like a racist does.

The example here is a supposed to be a teacher. So makes it twice as bad.

A better reply is asking nicely and that without saying these softer things like "Hey I didn't understand this part..." or "Why did you write me so much, is this a joke" ... the unfortunately you reach DEAD ENDS IN CULTURE really fast (that's why I'm using or hashtag because ALL culture is missing into a shittier kind which THIS teacher was supposed to be fixing / helping.

No it's not a joke or time wasting...

MY QUESTION TO THOSE CAN READ...

❓ So why do people *make communication* a time-waster by their own poorly labelling of it... Is it shirking responsibility or avoiding 'potential' trouble by closing out these types of students even if they are clever in other ways? ❓

It's like all or nothing in what I think CULTURE needs time AND is worth it... just don't throw it away...!!! It's like throwing people and planet by guessing wrong... "nah disconnect / throw it away".

Well I'm sorry that is not culture or building anything - in fact that is being anti-culture.

Even people fitting in paid professional "job" boxes are poorly design by those that care less about culture and more about money. Whatever..

Anyway by replying in a certain way on your 2nd response is not good. @multilingualfutures

I was genuinely interested and actually believe in your work. And now this response from 0 to nothing though I never intended it..

So you have made a mistake in the the length or detail of my post for something else and re-labelled it more than the excited "oh wow" email it was to try bring as much to the table... only for you to ignore it.

It's *exactly what is missing in a lot of culture and despite that you fell into the same mistake.
Where did that feeling of being free go?

I understand it's a lot of writing... but that is the way in culture else you get and less skilled people doing exactly what you did. CUT IT ALL!

As part of the culture (that you are demonstrating you want to repair) you're thinking something else more than an excited message to work through.
And as a half-worthy teacher myself even I know *you have to work around others* at the beginning! And then build our trust to whatever level (it's never there to start with or goes from strangers to something a bit better if not friends with yourself). THAT'S LIFE.

                                  WAKE UP.

So even if what I wrote is too long and trying to point out key things for you that is my whole life experience (like how cultures are blocked / attacked) then you having me shut down / blocked is contrary to and really working that out!

So guess this is 'it' for why we have life like this now - we're all just haters and think the other is hating...

Your heavy conclusions you jumped in to aren't even true... I wouldn't waste my time like this (and please don't answer this and move into working on building something to see if really I'm a joker here or dedicating my life also but in a different way - AND UNITE THAT!).

                                  OTHERWISE...

                                  THIS IS NOT CULTURE BUILDING.

That competitive ego or whatever your reply demonstrated doesn't make it ok to guess or insult someone without working together a bit more.

You also make enemies and more hate like that (I'm not assuming any of those for myself towards you). But don't step on my toes either.

Maybe the traits are similar to manipulation or whatever you experienced we poor in YOUR life but YOU ARE WRONG so don't project it to me. I must stand against that without asking for a fight.
Plain and simple you're wrong and even I ask you reset and have an audio conversation instead.

And yes THIS totally happens sometimes between people - usually with similar people or just text versions of us - and we have to snap out of that. You should know this / expect it as a teacher!
Why do I need to say this as a potential student / fellow teacher / customer etc !!!

When the next new fan of any kind comes along - are you going to block them too and cut bridge.
                                  Terrible,

So I have to leave this message say "nice work" but you fucked up so we can move unless you come down from your high horse and simply *communicate*.
Is it so hard - no - take a breath and do the homework instead of acting like a poor student of life.

Have a sense of something and instead of that false pride or whatever.

I can't believe the text overwhelmed you as a teacher.

SORRY. THIS IS NOT BEING A TEACHER OR BUILDING CULTURE. That is what you are trying to do - it's not even about me... so you could take more chances instead of blocking them.

I respect your poor judgement and that it's not right. And will move on while inviting repair or simply reset of this (I can forget you're writing and start again).

Just shutting it down is actually worst outcome. Not even for you or me. FOR CULTURE!

So as 'never mind' I leave this for other if you can't learn from it and to "start again" as the approach and even audio chat about it if that's enough text.

@multilingualfutures Hi your description of what you do is interesting. I'm not into websites much - I find them a block using colonial style gateways "in order to get ahead" (not just saying that because it's in your bio but really I feel like websites *block* people and make it too formal... but anyway not knowing that let it be and maybe has to for the monetary sides and automation of the flow etc...

So I'm wonder what you can offer people as part of those kind of things existing, but not via website?

                                  Thanks - interesting...

@freeschool I will try to post lots of things here that are useful for language teachers and revitalizers, as I have been on my other platforms, and there is a ton of stuff on my youtube. I have a complete course there for free, the entire framework that I I have developed with communities is available for free, and back to the website, there are libraries of resources and frequent workshops there for free also.

I do try to decide thoughtfully how much can be public and how much can be free, because financially there are huge challenges to be managed, but also, it's very important in this work that things be done through relationship and that communities be supported in adapting the resources to their own contexts. Part of the decolonization process is removing the positivist approach to education where appropriate. This is stuff we are constantly exploring and revolving with.

@freeschool babbling, irrelevant, and directionless comments like this are energy vampire behavior. Insisting and changing platforms (esp when 0 people asked you for a 1:1) and ending with a negging compliment like that are signature manipulative behaviors of abusers. None of this is welcome here, you're blocked, but commenting in case others wonder why.

Stealing vs. Foraging / Accumilating (Natural insticts) [SENSITIVE CONTENT]

The title of the post shows the similarities of stealing and foraging. Both have in their actions what we basically all do: 'bring, take, get, collect, pile up'... something under different and for ourselves or others, near and far.

The morality is different for stealing but much of it the the same in life (as uncomfortable as that sounds!) when it's for yourself or family (or government using everyone's money to wage / 🏦 paying for wars elsewhere / military industrial complex / etc).

This post outlines a tone showing it's the environment mainly that determines if actions are bad or good (which people can deliberately setup as the overall good or bad shell). So what defines if you are stealing for me?

➡️ Stealing if existing system is about scarcity / not loving people (then lead people to steal in some form (legally formed stealing company or state or other stealing from people).

Often both people and / resources are "moved" elsewhere!)

                                        or

➡️ foraging (if existing system is about growing people AND PLANET not cut-throat profit-priority TAKING AWAY EVERYTHING forcing people / steal with $tates).

To forage is where a previous or two have made it a priority to preserve and ADD things for people in the future to forage (trees, bushes, water pools, lead a simple life of fetching things rather than convert it to money-using objects etc).

A BETTER 'EFFICIENCY' WORKING WITH PEOPLE EVEN "STEALERS"??

I think you can use each other better to do more actions (I think that's what governments take advantage of in bad people) but importantly under a better environment....

:doge: Think of dogs and raising them in a fight club for dog fights or having them fed and watered while giving them options of things to fetch or people to go running with :dogcited: (people have dogs for these simple reasons sometimes).

People as a better " " (or some such term) comes into it for those that can do more and having abilities to do bit of everything. A dog that can do more, some that just like running...

The problem is about being fed and housed enough, as the basic that hold people together, so people need not feel they have to steal or forage too hard (this is a hard of and hard to bypass as some people will still do too much of even the nicest work or stab people in the back... but imagine most are nice dogs or through generational improvement could be turned from fighting dogs to much more pleasant runners. (behaviour over time / )

The is the key mostly, like epigenetics and evolution through ... IF the rich and elite could ease up A BIT the horrendous profits they take from people and spend on them instead, so we could all get along a bit more and 'steal' / forage more properly together for each other. And even enjoy the time in city, field or wherever.

A bit like the lords and estates or feudal times but as benevolent dictator. It's a big of a dream I know but we've had flavours of them all that we could just stick with. It shows we able to do it, under a whip or under an incentive or bounty.

Not easy or realistic for your tastes, with profits perhaps coming from generation of screwing people, but I see as saving us because it gives us what to do, what to get, grow, water, dig etc. Now more than ever.

Without being fed or housing (and without uncomplicated government growing things) then we revert to stealing of some kind what little is left or from other countries (wonder why continues?)...

Under nature we could find what to do... moving / stealing hay or whatever we're in. If people are in a cut-throat banking system then stealing on the street is a direct reflection of those barriers ( choose who and how to give money and it's VERY political - good projects don't stand a chance to get funding / startup finance).

My thoughts are that if you enable the bad people you can still actually get the good out of them (both willingly and as knowing each others tendencies towards if better environments can be found).

ℹ️ For example - People who steal are just good at fetching things and accumulating (the basis of almost all work, legit or not)

Yes it is wrong is some sense but the actions can be seen simply as "bring and get"...

If it's all about pubs on Friday as an environment (and for get the tax boost on the weekends) then it's only going to lead to a mess and poor .

So if you can feed people enough (so they don't feel their life is in danger or depressed that they need money so much) then to 'forage' instead of steal can achieved together more harmoniously somewhere.

We all need a bit of thrill, adventure, physical exercise working with people occasionally, feel part of a unit etc...

I admit this is today with the overall crimes of the past (Governments are robbers themselves) then it's hard not to call anybody bad who works for them (we are all paying them as money 'disappears' or sorry 'we don't have enough and have to steal from this other pot, again'.

You always have to watch out for back-stabber but mostly if fed and housed people will do small and big work... Its true fed and housed is not priority of most (they rather change with companies and reap/rape the profit) but this is another 'overall problem' or Meta problem that people have to understand.

Yes there are people that steal for kicks and just to hoard stuff.

No there are people that steal because there is nothing else to do, or literally is similar in morality as working in a call centre for an insurance company or bank.
