🚨 BREAKING: A new report titled 'They Walk Among Us' from the Ohio Immigrant Alliance documents 59 current and former ICE and CBP personnel charged with or convicted of serious crimes.

Key findings from the July 2026 report:
          - 50 of the 59 documented agents (84.7%) were charged or convicted of sexual assault
          - 37 cases involved child victims, with 35 specifically involving sexual assault against children
          - CBP accounted for the majority of cases, while ICE cases had a higher proportion of minor victims

The report highlights systemic oversight failures, including rapid hiring pushes that bypassed full vetting and a December 2025 DOJ directive instructing PREA auditors to pause compliance enforcement across key safety standards.

            A media literacy moment.

I saw the original video. In it, the woman filming is telling her friend not to say anything, not to give the officers anything, and also telling the ICE officer who looks like Tom Steyer to back off and stop threatening to arrest her since she's not doing anything wrong. The ICE officers take her friend through a different door leading back to the tarmac and everyone panics because it's clear once she's through that door anything could happen to her. There's yelling and people at the gate are yelling at the fed agents.

This is where the news hides a key moment: a Southwest employee steps in and threatens the woman filming. He says if she doesn't stop yelling at the feds he won't let her on her flight.

The yelling widens: at the Southwest employee, at the feds.

SCMP: Fake ICE raids and kidnapping drills: how Chinese teens prepare for US college

As Trump’s toughening rules spark anxiety, Chinese parents pay for camps teaching how to survive being seized by gunmen or ‘hidden dangers’

"...The intruder blindfolded Lu, tied her hands and finally made her record a phone message for her parents – begging them to pay a ransom.

Except the scenario was not real.

It was just an instructor at a private summer camp, training Lu how to handle a kidnapping in case it happened for real when she started school in the US in two months...."

In July 2025 we started a web project showing a map listing all of ICE's reported detention centers, with the number of detainees. This data was simply gathered from public records shared by ICE.

But since April 9th 2026, ICE stopped sharing this data, entirely.

The public can no longer know where ICE's facilities are, and how many people are currently detained. This is a dangerous transparency problem.
