Stunning footage of thousands of Mobula Rays moving together across the ocean in one of the densest migrations ever captured on camera.

Freediver and photographer Aidan Bedford documented this phenomenon at its finest.

Several tables and chairs are arranged around the tree trunk, with a white umbrella visible on the right. A quotation from Douglas Adams

“So what do we do if we get bitten by something deadly, then?” I asked.
He blinked at me as if I were stupid.
“Well what do you think you do?” he said. “You die of course. That’s what deadly means.”

                          A quotation from Bill Watterson

CALVIN: It offends the human ego that nature is indifferent to us. Nature doesn’t care if people live or die. It refuses to be tamed. It does whatever it wants and acts like people don’t matter. It won’t confirm our right to be here. That drives people crazy. We can’t stand being ignored. It’s insulting and … hey!
                             HOBBES: YAWWNN. [wanders off]
CALVIN: I think that’s also why some people don’t like cats.

The last of my prickly pear blooms. They were very productive this yr. Each pad can generate rows of bloom buds that open continuously starting at the beginning of June. Roughly 25-50 in two 3x4 patches.

Photograph of an Eastern prickly pear cactus bloom with out of focus cacti pads and spent blooms in the background. The flower takes up most of the right frame and the view is looking at the flower's face. Prickly pear cacti have yellow, overlapping, teardrop-shaped petals that transition to brown-orange near the flower's center. The petals have thin, papery edges as well as short, pointed tips at the end of each petal. The petals radiate from a center filled with a large number of yellow stamens with pale-yellow anthers as well as large pale-yellow pistil.

Yellow coneflower - hand painted acrylic painting - karen-kaspar.pixels.com/featur

Yellow Coneflower is a hand-painted acrylic painting in landscape format by the artist Karen Kaspar.
A fully blossomed single flower of a rudbeckia or coneflower with long curved petals in bright yellow and orange tones stands out against an abstract textured background in various shades of green. The loose brushstrokes and diagonal composition of the painting give it a dynamic feel, as if the blossom is dancing in the summer breeze in a summer garden.
