People sometimes ask me to stick to teaching Hebrew and leave the “political content” out of it.

Here is my answer. **I cannot**

Because antisemitism is not politics to me. It is the comment my husband deletes before I wake up. It is **“go home murderer”** sent to a language teacher. It is not a debate topic. It is my daily reality, simply for being Jewish and visible.

So I had a choice. Stay quiet, absorb the hate, and just do business. Or use my voice to share truth and light. Being Jewish, that was never really a choice at all.

I am a businesswoman and I am a Jewish woman. The world does not let me separate the two so I stopped trying. History has already shown us more than once what happens when good people go quiet.

I will keep teaching Hebrew. I will keep celebrating Israel. I will keep standing up and nothing about that is negotiable.

The preliminary results show a razor-thin victory for Abelardo de la #Espriella, a far-right multimillionaire with no prior political experience, over left-wing Senator Iván #Cepeda, by a margin of 49.66% to 48.70%, in an election riddled with fraud allegations, in a country with a long and unambiguous history of American interference in its democratic processes.

The winner is a #US citizen who became naturalized in 2023, owns a $5.1 million home in Miami, ran businesses in Florida for years, is a registered #Republican, and voted for Donald Trump in 2024. He was openly endorsed by Trump, who celebrated his ‘BIG’ victory on Truth Social.

He has pledged to ‘disembowel the left,’ move Colombia’s embassy to #Jerusalem, and restore full diplomatic and military ties with #Israel.

"Two former prime ministers, former heads of all the Israeli security services, former judges, a Nobel laureate and the country’s most revered living novelist were among the signatories to a “final warning” over violence against Palestinians.

I have ordered the same Nespresso pods for years and this morning I noticed something I had never seen before. Hebrew, right there on the side of the box. ☕🇮🇱

I looked it up and this batch was made for a handful of markets, Argentina, Mexico, the USA, and Israel, so the Hebrew was printed alongside the other languages.

And it landed with me in the best way. Coffee already feels like a little hug to me. Seeing my language on the box in my kitchen here in America, felt like that same hug all over again. A small reminder of home showing up where I least expected it.
